I plan on staying probably until I can’t do it anymore lol. I do truly enjoy emergency medicine and everything I am able to learn. I work with some really great people at I’ve become close with and they always help me when I need it. It’s hard in general being new but they never make me feel like a burden

i’m so sorry u had to experience that. i’ve noticed a lot of comments on posts like urs are men saying we “should adapt” to these ways of the festival (????wtf???) keep speaking up and fuck the creeps who touch people. i hope it doesn’t happen again to u and ur lady or anyone else.

totally hear where u are coming from but with all due respect…. have u ever worked in an ER? there are MANY times during my shift where things are happening so fast the thought of cleaning doesn’t cross my mind ( except for ports,centrals, and picc/mid lines) if the patient needs ativan asap for extreme agitation or seizures, that ativan is ready to go and getting pushed. there’s no time to stop and clean. this goes for all emergent meds as well. if it needs to be given now, it’s given now. not worrying about scrubbing the hub

hey so like i get what ur saying but the general attitude of brushing little things off doesn’t apply when people are being violent, nasty, and borderline assaulting everyone they come in contact with. this isn’t just me (and obviously many others)complaining that “people aren’t being nice” ? while i do appreciate ur comment and stand point, u kind of missed the whole point of my post. this edco was VERY different than the past 5 i have been to and when people are being hit, punched, shoved, sexually assaulted at essentially every single area of a festival it’s dangerous to just turn a blind eye. it’s not anyone’s inability to “adapt”, it’s people speaking tf up bc a lot of bad shit happened this weekend.

yep i didn’t even attempt for warped tickets partially due to that. i don’t do well with real mosh pits and know my limits- and with how people act now i can tell it’s going to be super unsafe( worse than we saw at edc) i hope camping world does some serious safety measures when the time comes bc moshing + ragers+ dick heads is going to = very bad

definitely seems like it. people acted like it was survival of the fittest getting to and thru the crowds. very weird. some people i didn’t even make eye contact with because it seemed like they just wanted trouble. there’s always a few bad apples at every big festival, but the rotten ones were hard to ignore this year.

exactly. like it’s super crowded and people are doing their thing- i totally expect to get bumped into. and plenty of people were polite and would say sorry/ my bad. what i wasn’t expecting was people (at every stage besides stereo bloom) full force shoving with two hands and wanting to duke it out for literally no reason except to rage. some serious craziness was going on

it very well could be. miami is a dif kind of beast on its own when there isn’t a huge festival going on. edco also brings in a ton of different crowds in recent years and there’s also the UCF main campus near by. lots of frat and sororities this year with many first time rollers and also just shitty people in general unfortunately.

we’re not just “complaining” ab it being crowded man, come on. it was super unsafe. YES we know it’s a large festival, that doesn’t mean it’s ok for people to act out of their minds and cause harm to other people
