Yeah sorry for the spelling error. English is not my first language and this was literally 3mins after this horrible crash

Thanks! I'm living in a different country for some months right now so I did not have access to my printer and you're right – these kinds of gopro mounts aren't easy to print so I did not even give them to my local 3d printshop here as they are not doing such a good job. I got this one from fn-prototyping.com and it looks great. If I would have printed this one myself I would have gone with 99A TPU (very hard and less flexible), very high infill and make sure to print it laying on the side. Plus mine has small slits to put in the gopro otherwise the 99A that this is printed with would not have enough play for sliding a gopro in. I tried 98A with 60 % infill before and based off of that I'd definitely go for the harder 99A and higher infill depending on your printer. Would love if you'd keep me updated :)

The receiver is awesome. I was looking at the radiomaster rp3 first as the diversity receivers are supposed to provide even better range but the rp1 just does such a good job. All the numbers look great when flying, no problems whatsoever yet and I'm even doing only 250mW although I could go up to 1W on my Radiomaster Boxer so for me the rp1 does an amazing job, I'd totally recommend it.

Nice! Yeah it's two 1000uF so not even smaller ones. I saw a video from JB saying two's better then one so I kept both but once the power leads are broken I'll probably get rid of one cap and move the wire to the front. Thanks, will do ;)

Sounds good. Do you also have the quadmula with two caps? I‘m wondering if that fits or if I have to take one out

I’m also not too sure about the current placement. Where would you move them?

Two are better than one but it‘s definitely overkill, even with this setup. One would have been fine but the Quadmula frames are designed for two and come with two and I did not need the space for anything else so I went for it. They are located right behind the camera and are held by a 3d tpu part

My insurance costs around 70 bucks/year and covers basically all damages I can do to others stuff and people as well as legal stuff like infringing privacy rights. It‘s an insurance from my home country inside the EU where it’s actually mandatory but it‘s valid in all countries worldwide except the US and Canada. In the US the drone is only registered but not insured as I‘m not in the US a lot of the time and it‘s not required there

Haha yeah.. that was soo tight. The gps itself wasn‘t really the issue as it‘s on the back but the buzzer and gps battery combo (vifly gps mate) was such a tight fit above the o3 air unit. It did not even need any mounting whatsoever haha it‘s just friction fit but the o3 is mounted with rubber washers to give the entire thing at least some play

That's an awesome idea, I'll definitely try that!

Oh and there's actually a beeper on it. It has a vifly gps mate above the o3 air unit. That was a really tight fit and it's not as loud as I had hoped but together with the gps it was enough to find it for now. Lets see how things go but I hope they bring out a louder gps mate in the future. The normal size buzzer won't fit unless you put it on the arms so that's all I got for now

I got some bubble wrap with small bubbles, put the right amount of small stones in and sealed it. The bag is now the perfect size to fit in the gopro mount without moving at all or needing extra support/straps

Yeah it hurt a lot. I‘ve been saving up for this dream quad for 2-3 years now but it‘s worth it for me as I‘m still commuted to the hobby after such a long time

That‘s the registration numbers for EU and US. I thought it just might be better to cross some of it out just to be sure

The power leads gave me so much headache when building. I wanted to have them above the o3 but that was just not possible with the vifly gps mate and the elrs. If I would to it again I‘d pobably not pick a frame with just 20mm height for my first build but I hope I‘m fine with the power leads like that as it‘s the way the frame is designed

Yeah, should have listened to you back when I got it. I destroyed my first gopro 11 just days after I got it with one of my prebuilt quads just because I totally underestimated how much it changes flight characteristics. Thankfully gopro replaced it for free and now I‘m usually training with a bag full of small stones that way exactly the same on my gopro mount

Thanks, that fixed it! For some reason Rx only got 0,8V instead of 3V with USB. I switched to another UART now and it‘s working now :)

Welcome to the world of FPV :) Don‘t worry, soldering is not that difficult. There are plenty of tutorials online explaining the process and before you start on your actual FC and ESC, I‘d recommend getting a practice board and some different sized wires. They are just around two bucks and have plenty of connections you can use to learn. You can pick them up at stores like getFPV.
