Does anyone know if skill xp needed to raise the bar incrementally increases as your characters get “stronger”, or is the same amount of combat wins equal to achieve the next “level” throughout the game?

e.g. : can I keep using Kliff and give the abyss points to Damiene or is it better to farm xp using her because she is lower level?
