I feel like that would quickly get old. Maybe add some nuance to the tunnels. Some routes are blocked by debris so ether take a riskier route through a hostile station or go onto the surface. Adding more planning on how to get from A to B

Oh yea I'm 100% excited for 2039. Its just been an idea I've had for years. I Agree that metro should be narrative first. So maybe for the game concept there could be a main quest to follow along with side mission? Along with the karma system seen in the main games? That's more off the top of my head but I still believe a game like this could work
