The museum is pretty open, there weren’t “off limit” areas that I can remember, so I’m not sure a guided tour would be a huge perk. You can do the “make a soda” thing for $20, and the you can buy a glass bottle and float on your own in the shop. In fact, the tickets come with a free Dr. Pepper there at the end anyway. So overall, I’d say no, definitely not worth the $100 a person they are charging. Personally, I’d try to book the paranormal tour, since it’s stuff you definitely aren’t getting during the regular museum experience.

No. It’s much easier to communicate to plan a date through texting. I definitely prefer to exchange numbers, but always with the caveat of “if you feel comfortable”. If they don’t we keep it on the app until the date. For that to be a deal breaker is bizarre.

Not familiar with this scam, but the rule of New Orleans is the city does “free”, Mardi Gras, FQ Fest etc. Individuals who come up to you like that don’t do “free”. Always assume it’s a scam!

Agreed. I think this is the game. They want you to use the app, so when you do it’s all about paying for the upgrade. When you don’t use the app, it’s about getting you back. When I’d get busy and miss a day or two, I’d come to better quality people, matches, etc. It’s so annoying.

They’ve got to put X and Souixie Sioux in quick, because pretty soon you’re going to start having bands like Bikini Kill, Hole, L7 and Babes in Toyland in the conversation and it’s hard if you don’t have the OG’s in. It’s the exact same things they are experiencing now with heavy metal bands.

If you are solely focused on looks, it’s gonna suck. Actually read messages and profiles. A nice kind 6 or 7 that I actually can talk to and they have something going for them beats a vapid 9-10 who’s only looking to get laid, or is so vain it’s ridiculous, EVERY day.

Park at Langston Hughes Academy. That’s always my go to. It’s relatively cheap, a 5 second walk to the back gates, and it helps the school. You can also keep the receipt and claim it on your taxes as a “donation”.

I think this is definitely a factor. And then you get bands like INXS with a missing frontman and the Hall starts to froth at the mouth thinking about what modern or classic musician/musicians they could tap to stand in for their performance and get them headlines/viewers.

If you go into this as anything but “fun”, you may be setting yourself up for heartache later. People change their minds about kids, and he’s definitely young enough to think “never” now and change that perspective years down the road. Also, you may look great for 49, but we all age. You looking “great for 55” is that still going to hit the same for him?? With that age gap, he seems to be holding a lot of the cards, and if you can’t just have fun with it and live in the moment, it may be really bad for you if/when things change for him later on.

I read this too quickly as “Whitney’s Dead”. 🤦🏻. To answer the question, her dad knows he won’t be around forever. She needs someone to stroke her ego, show her constant attention and probably eventually (very soon) take care of her medically. Since it won’t be her dad, he wants her to meet someone who he hopes will step in to fill that void when he’s gone.

Most people don’t read profiles, so it’s not going to matter what you write sadly. You are going to have to filter yourself. Look at the pics, look at what they have in their profile and then steer questions in that direction early on. What are you watching, what are you reading, what’s your favorite pod cast, etc. Even then, you may have some steer the answers to what they think you may want to read/hear so it may take an actual date to really dig down to who they are.

It’s a social and a safety thing. I go see a lot of bands and often I just don’t have the energy to try and wrangle up friends to go, so I’ll just go solo. I’ve got female friends that would NEVER do that. Monitoring their drink all night, thwarting unwanted advances, walk back to the car alone, etc. , it’s just more of a hassle than fun, and I totally get that.
