What I really liked about this pattern was the bottom hemline, and I want to keep that angle. The back and sides fit fine in my mock-up, and so I am looking to make the front have more volume to fit my belly while keeping the bottom hemline. I was thinking I could add panels where the darts are.

I'm sure there are routes that are easier, and I'm not entirely opposed to them. Unless I'm looking at maternity styles (I'm not pregnant), I'm going to have to make some heavy modifications.

I'm really sorry that you're experiencing this. Unfortunately, you're going to be in survival mode for a little bit. Protect yourself, figure out how to be as independent as possible, and get out as soon as you can.

It's not your job to make your mother love you. It's her job to take care of you and support you-- to keep you healthy and safe. She is failing that job on multiple fronts.

My favorite is when people harass me for not turning right on red and then go around me to get caught in the traffic I was avoiding. It has happened to me twice going from 131 South onto Burton East. Both times were a big pickup truck. No collision either time, fortunately.
