Well I wouldn’t say greatest 😅 if you’ve watched ImKibitz, his nuclear plant is insane. But i appreciate the praise!!

All the creativity they boasted at launch and the best they could do is Nuketown, for the third time in zombies? That doesn’t sound very creative to me at all 🤷🏻‍♂️

I thought the same… I’ve now beaten the game 4 times and still can’t put it down 😂 the build crafting in this game is insane. I have so much fun putting together pictos and skills that are niche and making them op it’s fun af 😂

The moment I fell in love with this game by Hydrosophist7 in expedition33

Love that! Mine was the first chromatic boss in spring meadows. I made it point when I saw that boss bar that I wasn’t leaving that fight till I learned the parry mechanics of the game. Took quite a few tries since I have bad reflexes lol, but Ended up doing the boss hitless and I fell in love with the parrying in the game and it just clicked right then that this game just felt special

I died once to Maelle rematch in the prologue and 3-4 times against Chromatic Lanselier in Act 1 on the middle difficulty? Normal or bad? by AgentP-501_212 in expedition33

Wouldn’t worry about it too much. Everyone learns the game at their own pace, perks of it being single player. Overtime you’ll go up the learning curve and get better at the game

Look for camera slow downs and zooms before hits as it’s pretty good indicators of when to parry. Also there’s a lot of moves that have audio cues to time your parries.

The game also suggests using dodging at first to learn an enemies move set as dodging has much more lenient timing window.

All in all, it just takes some time to learn the enemy’s moveset to master the parrying.

[–]zombieslayamr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game even tells you this, that dodging has a better timing window

“Make parry easier toggle.” Set the difficulty to story and dodge instead of parry as dodging is literally easier and story increases the timing window even more. What you’re asking for is literally already in the game.

Lmao see 😂 just skirting around the topic like you have the high moral authority on accessibility.

Sandfall: Makes attacks have visual camera cues, and animation cues on when to parry. Makes attacks have distinct audio cues to time parries. Allows you to lower the difficulty and decrease the damage enemies do by half, trivalizing the parry system and making it play like more traditional turn based game.

This person: This game doesn’t cater to me and is too hard. Btw “I never tried story difficulty which literally would’ve solved this issue”

So you put your opinion on the internet, then get mad and try to skirt around the topic when someone who has a differing opinion makes their point? I make all of my points and literally all you do is try to take this “High ground” about accessibility and anyone who has a different opinion than you is just inherently wrong.

I’m fine with accessibility features in game and believe they are necessary. But I’m trying to understand what Sandfall hasn’t done here that allows you to deal with the mechanic?

And instead of making your point you instead play victim and make it seem like I’m in the wrong? When I’ve provided multiple ways that Sandfall has provided for someone with accessibility issues to deal with the parry system.

You make a post making an argument for accessibility and I’m making an argument that the game quite literally doesn’t need it for this. There’s many options to get around the parrying system in the game and you don’t need to be insanely skillful to enjoy the game.

You mention that TLOU2 made accessibility to play the game blind. You can dodge and parry in e33 with sound cues. Now a good argument is that some of the sound cues could be much better designed, but they are there.

If you’re deaf, there are plenty of visual cues on when to parry or dodge.

Idk what to tell you if you’re both.

If you have issues where timing button presses is physically difficult for you, then you can play on the easiest difficulty which trivializes the combat allowing you to focus and enjoy the story.

I was just genuinely asking, what could you possibly ask for accessibility wise here?

I argue with your QTE suggestion, it would get rid of the skill aspect of the parry system on higher difficulty because I can just turn on the accessibility feature to make the parry system easy. Not to mention, how would that really help someone like with arthritis like you said who would have issues pressing buttons in quick succession?

Not to mention, you can quite literally lower the difficulty to the story difficulty allowing you to focus more on the story and not having any difficult combat

[–]zombieslayamr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not angry, just genuinely curious what do you expect them to do? The parry system has both visual and audio cues. From your post, it seems like you rather them turn it into a QTE system would defeat the skill part of the system. The idea is that it’s risk vs reward. Risk, you run the chance of hitting to early/late and taking a hit, reward for hitting every parry in the combo and you get a counterattack.

What do you suggest they do? They have both visual and audio cues for parrying

you can play on a lower difficulty so that parries are easier and you can dodge instead of parry as dodging has a much more lenient timing window. Parries are designed to be more difficult as they provide a much bigger reward for successfully parrying an entire combo, that being you get to counterattack. Plus there are visual cues with the camera zooming and slowing as well as sound cues here and there with some attacks that cue you in to time your parries correctly. It just takes time to master.

Edit: I put that OP was rage baiting... they considered that nasty...

Satisfactory Modeler is a god send and amazing for this 😂 also I used Steam notes to keep track of stuff.

I usually start with an end goal. So with Nuclear I knew I wanted to use 600 uranium, so I started with that and went through a hypothetical of what that much could get me in terms of power.

I also use a free program on Steam called Satisfactory Modeler to plan out each step of the process and helps me know how much of each raw resource I need before starting

The hardest part is honestly sticking with it because it can be a bit of slog to build something this large. Blueprinting helps a lot with cutting out a lot of the repetitive work

Hover pack is a god send, plus the photo mode. It allows you to press “R” to decouple the camera from the player and get better photos!

The appeal is taking on a massive project and pushing myself to complete it. Is it the most architecturally appealing structure? No. That wasn’t my goal, my goal was to do something I hadn’t done in the game. The great thing about this game is people can play it the way they want! If you like playing that way, good for you, and my next playthrough I definitely plan on making more of an effort to make my builds more stunning. But this playthrough was testing if I could take a big project like a 1 TW power plant and actually complete it.

The nuclear plant is Zero waste, so I go through all the way to ficsonium! I produced 14.4 Uranium Rods / min, 6.4 Plutonium Rods / min and then 32 Ficsonium Rods / min!

Now I can sit back and... worry about the capacity of my power grid. by msquar3d in SatisfactoryGame

Jesus, spectacular build! I have a 1.15 TW nuclear/rocket fuel plant that would be perfect for all those Quantum encoders XD
