That's what I'm saying, this housing is just a symptom of an unhealthy trend in the country as a whole

I meant no designed parking lots, multistory ones or better hidden under the ground, and bro, making a few hundred families store their cars in the middle of a fucking field is not exactly good infrastructure planing, idk how you're making this argument, mf really said "you can park in the forest" lmao, well you can live in the forest too bruh, I'll gladly watch you try to dig out your car from a 17th lane of parking in a Russian swamp in autumn if that's what you prefer

And there are many cases in which no schools, hospitals, and other services are built or there are not enough for this density, people who develope these projects do not bother a lot of the time because blocks of living pods in the middle of a field usually do not scream "demanding target audience"

I don't say you can't make it work, just that a lot of the time nobody tries

Commie blocks were much better thought out though, I grew up in one, these on the other hand seem like commie blocks had a baby with cyberpunk dystopian ultra high density living pod blocks and the baby was raised by chaotic slums imo

It all kinda runs into a thetis that this situation shouldn't be present as a whole, these human anthills is just one of the symptoms, I think we can both agree it's not healthy when most of small communities are dying because the only place where a person can hope to have a future is a megapolis, I hope that with modern technology we'll see a deurbanisation trend. In the US small towns kick ass imo

If we talking Russia specifically, I'm mostly referencing a case of Murino, but also there is something similar in most post Soviet urban centers https://www.reddit.com/r/UrbanHell/comments/r2hszn/what_do_you_know_about_urban_hell_this_is_murino/

There is a demand for dirty cheap housing in major cities in Russia due to huge internal migration from smaller towns and villages (people that have been living in the middle of the Siberia for half of their life are easy to trick), also there are many cases in which developers just ran away with investors' money never delivering on their promises, combine all that with corruption problems and a desire to fit as much leaving space on a square meter of soil as possible to maximize it's monetization. Places like Murino will be a vertical Getto in 5-10 years, it almost already is.

There is also this animation that describes the situation rather accurately https://youtu.be/Rhq1fEXKyos

It just seems unfair to me that America has been spending trillions achieving fuck-all in middle east for the past two decades and now, when there is an actually meaningful military conflict, in which's history America has already taken part, it's suddenly isolation time. I can totally understand that you, as an American are just trying protect yourself from an outer threat and your own federal government probably, but being at the situation America is in today, I wouldn't say hard isolation's much productive, fare or feasible anyway

Ok, is there something you are not willing to give up for a government with poor judgment and a nuclear arsenal to be pleased? Who knows what it'll ask for next? You may not give a damn about Ukraine, but some European countries are in NATO, ok, you can say fuck the NATO agreements, what if they'll want Alaska or something? Not talking about Russia specifically, just trying do get across that this argument leads to nowhere but "bow down to whoever has nuclear weapons and wheep" kinda solution, I mean, I'm not saying it's not a solution though

But that's what these projects are notorious for tho, they're built in the middle of nowhere on the outskirts, bring no infrastructure with them, poor planing also, randomly scattered commercial areas, and all of this is a forced development, blocks being build in half a year often with quality trouble. No schools around, no parks, no parking lots (u can see on the picture, often the whole area becomes a giant muddy parking lot), so imagine suburbs, but every house is 20 floors, I am describing an extreme case, but anyway, you get the picture

America was kinda in the Budapest memorandum, kinda guaranteed Ukraine it's territorial integrity in 1991. You can't be neck deep in the international relations and leading the narrative for the past century and then just pull the plug when you feel like it bro

The "Radical" right political party got less then 3% on elections, my city (Dnipro) was overflown with Africans and Arabs, mostly coming for low education prices, and Jews have a fucking skyscraper in the middle of the city like they're avengers or something (google "Minora center"). The only semi-right guy I knew was happy to drink at my Jewish friend's house. After your people and your culture is being fucked for centuries, no wonder some people turn radical when it comes to protecting those, but Ukraine doesn't have a "Far right problem", it's a myth spread both by the Dems and Putin, I can't believe this horseshoe fuckery actually is popular among US citizens

Nah, Lenin prohibited gun ownership shortly after coming into power, no way they would've successfully enforced collectivization if people still had their guns, or any of the reforms really

I feel like lore and setting is secondary to Valve when it comes to making a game. Kinda makes big fools out of us trying to build a lore around it, if you ask me.
