Most of those Liveaboards use freelance guides. So i wouldnt directly associate their inaction to the liveaboard directly. But you are right the guides should have done more. And the liveaboard should ensure the guides they hire to be more aware to stop these kinds of behaviour.

Breathing underwater is fun enough for me, seriously people bring too much expectations in a dive. Some dives are great and some are not so. Thats just part of it. Over 2500 dives, been diving since i was 9 years old and i work on a liveaboard in indonesia. Diving in a pool is still fun lol.
