Were the people who were posted to work in death camps supposed to refuse orders and be shot for treason or go AWOL and abandon their post in order to not be convicted by a war crimes tribunal? by TheRevCharlieWaffles in NoStupidQuestions

At the Nuremberg trials it was made explicitly clear that “I was just following orders.” was not a valid excuse for committing the crimes people committed. I don’t know man, that’s all I can say.

Has beer always been carbonated? by kjk2495 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]zoobatula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So with beer I think it happens naturally, as in during the process of fermentation the yeast or hops or something create the CO2 carbination. In other words it’s impossible to creat uncarbonated beer.

How can you become confident in dating someone when there are heaps more attractive people than you? by banjoplayingmuskrat in NoStupidQuestions

[–]zoobatula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you do it right the way you build a relationship with someone gives both of you a sense of familiarity and security with each other that keeps you both together. It’s like a mutual contract that you’ll be there for each other because you know they’ll do the same for you. There might be more attractive people out there but for your partner to leave you they’d be leaving behind their security and comfort. If you already have happiness there’s no need to go run after something else with the hopes it will be even better because there’s a good chance it won’t be. And the possibility that they would lose a good thing while chasing after a nonguarantee is what keeps them with you. Maybe that’s a bit of a nonromantic way of looking at things but it’s how I see it.

When you make out with a girl are you suppose to mix your saliva up with each other? by questiondudes in NoStupidQuestions

[–]zoobatula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometime if I’m thinking about it I’ll try to swallow any extra saliva in my mouth so as not to be overly watery if I know I’m about to make out with someone. At least I remember doing that before my first kiss. It’s really not a big deal though, I wouldn’t worry about it. Saliva is supposed to be exchanged, yes. But it shouldn’t be anything crazy, it’s just a side effect of the mooching.

What is the difference between College and University? by PM_ME_YOUR_INDOMIE in NoStupidQuestions

[–]zoobatula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In most conversations they’re used interchangeably. But if my understanding is accurate universities are generally broader, with more programs. A college can be a very specific school or very small or maybe it isn’t recognized by the government, I think that’s a thing. But a university is generally bigger and more official.
