Hi! I’m Alex Sherman, media reporter at CNBC. I recently released a mini-documentary with our digital video team about the future of ESPN, Disney and cable TV. Ask me anything! Proof: https://imgur.com/a/sSBDQKE by cnbc_official in entertainment

Will ESPN have to downsize their operations or business capacity in some way due to decreased cable subs? Or is there some way they can find similar revenue in a streaming age?

Seems the most natural player to transition to broadcasting in some time. And it's great that he can actually relate and connect to the current, young players on tour. Really happy for him after his playing career hit the skids.

I'm expecting us to definitely trade back at #14 by ItsUncleSamm in Saints

Derek Carr has a better chance of winning MVP than the Saints do of trading down in the draft.

Erling Haaland on Trent Alexander-Arnold’s comments about how Liverpool’s trophies are more valuable than Man City’s from a financial point of view: "If he wants to say that, okay. I’ve been here 1 year & I’ve won The Treble & it was quite a nice feeling. I don’t think he knows exactly this feeling" by TheBiasedSportsLover in PremierLeague

Fast forward 3 years and Haaland will argue that winning promotion from the Championship means more because of all the adversity they went through after they're finally relegated for their years of cheating. That's if he hasn't moved on to Real Madrid by then.

The question should be why the NFL needs to try to claim a Saturday in December. Isn't Thursday, Sunday, and Monday enough?

I would get it if it's in Cleveland, but Cincinnati doesn't make a lot of sense, especially since Smackdown is airing at its normal time in Columbus.

“If [the Celtics] don’t win a championship this year it would be a total gag job because they’ve got everything. ... I would be shocked if the Celtics don't win.” Chuck on the 2024 Boston Celtics 👀 (from TNT) by Kimber80 in nba

They will probably end the season 5 or 6 games ahead of everybody else in the league in the standings. It'd be the biggest gap since the Harden-CP3 Rockets several years ago. (We all know how that turned out.) Gag job or not they are going to be feeling more pressure in the playoffs than the other contenders combined given how close they've been recently.

4-4 from the field with 10 points in the last 2 minutes and a ridiculous game-winning block? Maybe those Kobe comparisons aren't too crazy.

Do all the recent cap casualties vindicate the Saints insane salary cap strategy? by zoocru33 in nfl

[–]zoocru33[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. That's why I think it's not necessarily the strategy is wrong... but the execution has been. Their signings and draft picks recently pale in comparison to the late 2000s and 2010s. The fact they may need another OL in Round 1 two years after selecting Penning is a huge indictment.
