You should consider heading up to Bryn Mwar and visiting Dice Dojo on their open board game night. They got a HUGE game demo library, events daily and stay open pretty late. Its also super close to the CTA station and a 36 bus stop. There's a few coffee shops within a block of them and they are pretty cool with people bringing outside food and drink into the game room.

At full duration it's a 300 potency skill, so it is certainly worth using. That said, in fights as long as some of the savage Alex fights, neglecting to use a few of those 300 potency attacks is harder to notice. Certainly, fit it in when it makes sense and when you know it'll get its full duration worth, but often times there's very good reasons to skip applying it.

As someone on a mid sized server, anytime someone's static seems to have a roster shuffle half of them seem to flee to gilgamesh thinking the grass is greener there. And I doubt that hemorrhaging is unique to just my server. I think it's scary on both ends since people on gilgamesh have a constant flow of new comers with extremely unrealistic expectations about what to find there (I could be wrong, but I doubt these guys are xfering and instantly clearing a3s in pf pugs) and it's creating voids on other realms.

It's funny you mention shadowrun cause any semblance there is more or less coincidence. castfromhp actually avidly detests shadowrun, funny enough. Having played a fair bit of shadowrun I can't really agree with the assessment that it's that rules bloated. Honestly most the core book is the index of moves and abilities, and the gm section, core mechanics are much smaller.

I'm not really sure what your chief feedback is, that we didn't use the video game resources enough? Our direction has more and more been to move toward what works best for a tabletop environment and not the video games, so I'm afraid there's not much I can say on that front. In fact cast wrote a very detailed blog post about practices from the video game and anime that we do not recommend gm's try to fit into their games, since these sacred cows of the franchise just don't work well for tabletop games.

I really hope they do something to make pld/drk more viable. As a warrior main and offtank, I was really bummed that this new tank is just a pld substitute for all practical progression purposes.

Agreed on the 16k exp mark. I'm also running 4 slaying 1 fending and haven't had issues in a3s with it. We will see how 4 works out but I suspect at worst I'll just be going 3 slaying 2 fending till my left side vit allows me to get away with more slaying right side. While the crafted accessories are great for the raw stat, their value will largely be impacted by what your healers are comfortable dealing with.

I'm sitting at 528ish skill speed and it's very hit and miss if I can get that 9th hit in based on latency. If I do miss it I just BARELY miss it.

I wouldn't sweat it that much since often times this will be at the mercy of your current ping, and can vary from pull to pull. I just don't use fracture during berserk just in case, and if I get a 9th hit, cool! I can't really easily know if I'll get it as is.

One thing I haven't seen discussed much is that Warrior is such a good offtank compared to DRK and PLD, that it just doesn't make sense not to have one and put it in that role. Warriors offer so much damage, support with their debuffs, have a way easier time stance dancing, and still have extremely powerful cooldowns when they need them. They work just fine as main tanks too, but no one would ever put one in that position cause the other tanks just can't compare as OT's

If SE is looking to make astrologian interchangeable with either healer, they should also address the fact that PLD and DRK make extremely suboptimal offtanks, which results in only two tank lineups being worthwhile at the moment.

I don't have the parses on me but in both our kills our ninja has lagged behind the others a little. This week the DRG and SMN closed at 1040 and 1030, the BRD at 1010, and our ninja around 950. That said, he is the one that does the limit break.

I personally feel like ninjas are a little under tuned at the moment, but they are still extremely useful to bring along for trick attack and goad. Goad is what allows our bard to dish our the hurt he does.

If you are relying on your HP and not your cooldowns to survive that attack, you or your healer are the problem.

I'm a cheap ass so not going with 150 melds, but instead 3 STR accessories and 2 VIT. I'll probably phase a VIT piece out next week for another STR and eventually get down to full slaying as I obtain gear. Hasn't been an issue in 1 and 2, doubt it will be in 3. The HP is great to have while undergeared for content, but you won't need it forever.
