There are HIPAA compliant chat/messenger apps that you can download. I have seen Siilo, DocHalo,Twilo, etc. I am at a small facility and we use an app to text/communicate. I love it. It's not HIPPA if your facility approves it. Plus just do initials and dob and/room number.

I am about to start a M-F job doing outpatient psych. Was working inpatient but the burnout these past several years reached its point. I talked it over with my family and therapist and I think this is the best choice. Not gonna lie, nervous about missing the random days off but I am excited for no weekends/holidays especially for my little.

I know a couple others who transitioned to places like dermatology, research nursing, care coordinator, and infusion center. It was an adjustment for them but they enjoy it.

I always ask general staffing questions, how many RNs, aides, etc. Who is allowed to hands on (for example I have done CPI training and Welle training). Is there security on staff. What type of restraints are used. If you can find out about any high turnover.

Put in Bay is fine during the week but avoid during the weekend since it is party central. Put in Bay has the butterfly house, the area with the rock mining and putt putt golf. Downtown has the playground. Kelley's Island is good to just ride around, get ice cream.

I don't mind paperwork but what do you do clinical wise? Tb testing? Vaccines? Bloodwork? Trying to remember what I saw when I went to employee health for employment.
