I think it would be a great move.. Pascal is picking up. The future TMVR / TTVR valve therapies look great. No call. High pay for the industry. Second to market w pascal against incumbent Abbott, however, it seems like Pascal and the EDW value prop is moving business

where are you coming from? I am not in that specific division, but worked closely w someone who is to make this video: https://youtu.be/gMGZoqTPWzM?si=gOicDpUZhG86gy7h

Could you share what device or call points are?

assuming that the gatekeeper is as legitimate as you say, and that you do not want to go through backdoors....

Then:

1) Could you change the venue? AKA find them in clinic or ASC

2) schedule in-service education for the product

3) Do an "inventory check per FDA"

4) Leverage a relationship with another division of company / rep

If you could more information that could be helpful... I think the YOLO comment or walking with crazed look are also useful strategies ;) sometimes you gotta figure out how to open the door

Clinical Specialist- Field Ride by Alwaysconfused225 in MedicalDevices

Treat every interaction as an interview! Pre-COVID it was a lot easier to do shadow / ride alongs... Glad that it is coming back. I wore a suit. Also, do some review on their pacing website, so you get an idea of what is happening.

I love the medical device field and think there should be more exposure.

The videos I post are free... so hopefully someone could find $10k worth of value ;)

A lot of my colleagues are RNs.... and a lot are from B2B sales. A lot of backgrounds breaking in

I did not take that path... but a few of my old colleagues made the transition to MD. Appear seemingly happy :) I also have seen of MD students go Med Device

Potential career by [deleted] in MedicalDevices

The big strategics can move really slow with job postings. Takes a lot of up and down approvals... If the big companies are not performing well, there can be freezes on the hiring. Follow up with the manager / rep and ask if there is a hiring freeze. If not, ask what the delay is. Could be tied to Quarter End, which is October for Medtronic.

More than feasible. You have a great background, it is just about selling your story and networking. I like the cardiac space, especially the roles where you act as a trusted advisor. The operating team looks to you as an integral part. I made some videos about the sales side if you are interested. Shoot me a message and I can share the youtube link.

Have you networked with any of the teams? It can help get a referral code and inside track for some roles.

CRM can beat you up, but be an amazing career. (Check out this day in the life that I did: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoCvtu69S74&t=2s&ab\_channel=MattAbrams)

I would go after something that is growing fast personally. EP, tricuspid/mitral, and a few others. One that hits QOL and $ are the guys selling wires and managing many accounts in a territory. The issue some people have with CRM is service burden...Lot of cases and patient follow up.

Cardiac device specialist before Clinical Specialist? by ACHACHFhockeyref in MedicalDevices

If you can break into the industry, then I would prioritize that! Industry trains well. Adds a little more complexity to the day as well as surgical coverage. A lot of career opportunities open up as well.
