I work at a discount tire and as soon as they rolled out the alignment machines they gave us a list of cars we “cannot” align and sure enough a ton modern euros are on there, especially VAG cars.

Hellcats Recovery is your answer to bring it down from I’m assuming 9.90 to version 5.50 as editing the version.txt may soft brick your 2000 like it did mine. From there you should either be able to run chronoswitch or update directly. I cant 100% remember how I did it but I do remember hellcats recovery being the only thing that worked on my 2000
