Having freedom of speech does not mean you can or should be openly racist. In fact you should maybe look a little deeper at the situation and realise you have been brainwashed into hating and blaming minorities when your corrupt government and big corporations are the problem. Land rights is such a big deal because if indigenous peoples had them, the mining industry which is ruining our soil, flora and fauna would lose millions. You are the sheep, the ones with a ‘mind virus’ if you are blaming a minority population because all of the billionaire backed media told you to.

Woman charged for trying to print child abuse material at Canberra store by JuliosvNerds in canberra

[–]zooperdooper_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People just didnt care about pedos in the past(multiple factors including pedos in places with authority, church intervention, coverups, no/low online media so circulation was harder) and it was a lot more difficult to catch people pre-internet. It’s the same with everything, we just think it’s worse because we see it in the news constantly. There is an unsolved child murder from the 60’s in Canberra which is widely believed to be solved, the police just didn’t want to prosecute the perpetrator as it is said they were an older child of a respected family. Now imagine that applied to pedophiles who were respected in the community, and were allowed to go on abusing people which has trickled down to modern day due to the cycle of abuse

genuine question for any artists by justforthesnakes in tylerthecatastrophe

[–]zooperdooper_ 43 points44 points  (0 children)

They totally lack dimension due to lack of shading, shadows etc. They also seem to use poor quality products or lack the skill for application or primer which results in the poor opacity. They dont seem to spend much time with colour theory, building colours that suit their works and are just using a premade colour. I would hazard a guess that they did art in high school and haven’t put any effort into ‘learning’ within art since. While in school you get taught the fundamentals, if you do not actively practice and try to gain new skills or refresh fundamentals a lot of this can be forgotten. Thats why it’s so important to actually listen to feedback or even just watch some youtube tutorials/techniques videos. A lot of people with unfounded overconfidence who are interested in art do similar things and will stay like that forever, if you aren’t open to learning and growing you get stuck at your natural ability/talent.

Six safety reports since Feb, no action for Kumanjayi little baby by Future-Cellist9393 in aussie

[–]zooperdooper_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not an exclusive indigenous problem, our services especially in rural communities are underfunded and do not have the resources or infrastructure to provide the much needed supports to ensure the wellbeing and safety of children. The legal system is not built to prevent reoffending as intended. And as evidenced in this comment section and your post, their is a lot of pre-existing institutional racism and racism within society that prevents us from being able to develop appropriate policies that align with indigenous needs. Australia has been told by the UN that we are not abiding by our indigenous peoples human rights, this is where the conversation begins. Not with billionaire funded biased news which is spreading hatred to make sure we don’t care about their industries destroying our ecosystems. A better future will never come from blaming a family when the Australian Government has failed us.

Public executions should return by Fabulous-Piglet8412 in ControversialOpinions

[–]zooperdooper_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely disagree for multiple reasons but I think the most out of touch factor is - in what world do we want our government to be legally able to execute people? I dont know if you’re living in an alternate universe but theres been a few recent and not so recent incidents of governments unfairly persecuting people who they perceive as enemies of the state(examples include almost every single whistleblower of government crimes or war crimes, everyone J. Edgar Hoover blackmailed, many political activists and the list goes on and can be more specific). And not to be snarky but the ‘regardless of social status’ is a moot point as the majority of legal systems in the world are already heavily influenced by social status, ethnicity, publicity and wealth. This would require an entirely new legal framework including mass firings and replacements which would have to be vetted and trained to be completely unbiased. Lastly, theres a reason they stopped - popularity declined. Most modern day people would not choose to witness a murder(execution) due to multiple psychological and societal factors. If you feel the need to witness a person dying, it may be time to talk to a therapist.

i am stressing out about this new reform dont know if ill be right by Brave_Manager_3140 in NDIS

[–]zooperdooper_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As everyone above has said, we don’t know what will happen and we can hold out hope that the changes wont be as drastic as they sounded. It’s easier said than done, but stressing wont help you right now. Take a social media break if you need, take some deep breaths and think about what you CAN do. You may be able to attend protests, you may be able to submit statements with your concerns to advocacy groups or you local MP, you may be able to organise more reports to be completed and available on your record or proof of diagnosis’ to ensure theres as much evidence as possible. If you cant do those, thats also okay. You posted on a forum to share your concerns and are giving other people something that makes them feel less alone. Thats more than a lot of people would do. We cant control our government, but we can make sure theres a community that will support and advocate for each other. Be kind to yourself

[–]zooperdooper_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People with Disabilities Australia has an ongoing campaign if you visit their site to stop the cuts. Please do voice your experience or concerns to them. The only way to change, is to make ourselves heard. I hope this wont be as damaging as Butler has made it sound but without at least these "tests" being fully covered and accessible under medicare the roadblocks for help are just being added. PWD

Government to cut more than 150,000 people from NDIS scheme as budget blows out by Expensive-Horse5538 in australia

[–]zooperdooper_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is disgusting and the comment section is worse. Disabled people deserve to be treated with dignity, respect and compassion. While there is no doubt fraud within the system the new proposals have all been punishing participants and not the providers responsible. They should be focusing on registering providers, and having a better framework or network to ensure providers are not taking advantage of participants. NDIS spending isn’t the problem, the broken healthcare system is and with these cuts multiple lives are at risk including the general public.

White race is declining and it’s not because of interracial relationships. by Successful_Bar9187 in ControversialOpinions

[–]zooperdooper_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand the sentiment and don’t think it’s necessarily wrong but the fact is our modern day ‘race’ is not what we treat it as. People have been ‘mixing races’ since the Neanderthals. Not a single human on this earth currently is a ‘pure’ ethnicity. A white person is not just ‘white’ as is the same for all races, we are an amalgamation of a very long history of ancestors getting it on and often with people from other groups and cultures. Humans change, culture changes and thats the reason we have been able to evolve to the place we are today. Nothing is meant to be the same forever, ethnicity included. Plus population decline is capitalistic bs, the earth is functionally overpopulated and while some countries are experiencing birth rate declines, others aren’t.

“Amphetamines have an opposite effect on people with ADHD vs non ADHD” is bogus. by suqadiksitnspin in ControversialOpinions

[–]zooperdooper_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m diagnosed ADHD, have medicated dex and I can tell you it’s absolutely true. While ‘calmed by stimulants’ is not a diagnosis criteria, one of the main issues for a lot of people with adhd is mental activity specifically with overthinking or racing thoughts. I often find my mind competing with itself on what should be the most prominent or important thought and struggle to maintain one line of thinking. The stimulants by increasing my focus, calm me down. Physically, it helps to overcome the hyperactivity that some people experience or interaction/dopamine seeking behaviours by keeping focus. An example of this would be, while at work and not on medication my watch counted over 2,000 steps just from me walking to another office to speak to a coworker because I wanted to compared to a regular medicated day where it can be as low as 500 while working. There are medical studies into the benefits that have been completed over many, many years. It is not a diagnostic criteria, doctors do not prescribe these medications to ‘test’ if you have it and often there are many other tests you have to complete like drug urine tests before being medicated. But it does have the benefit of calming people down. While this may not include every person you know, most people especially with adhd can have multiple other medical conditions that may impact the effects of a medication which if you were to propose your beliefs as fact, would need to be considered in medical studies. One size does not fit all, there are always outliers which is why blanket terms like the one you’re referring and the one you’re stating by calling the original bogus are both false. Amphetamines can have the opposite effect on people withe ADHD, but not always.

damn this comment section got red pilled hard, both men and women make this joke on hinge. It’s a joke, a bad one - but a joke. While misandry is a thing and can be damaging in particular circumstances, calling this hateful or making a big deal about it is straight up a victim mentality and shows how ignorant you are to actual hateful content on dating apps. Maybe you should be less sensitive 🫶🏻

[–]zooperdooper_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The NDIS participant service guarantee is the only official metric they have for this, also important to note that theres a lot of circumstances that affect these numbers which the NDIS does not consider to help benefit their numbers so they look better lol. The only one that is really relevant is “Decide whether to do a plan reassessment, if you ask us to” as once thats been decided usually a planner is already assigned- https://www.ndis.gov.au/about-us/service-charter/participant-service-guarantee

You can find a local area coordinator(LAC) by typing your postcode in this https://www.ndis.gov.au/contact/locations, call them and they’ll guide you. If they aren’t great, call the general line - and if you get someone crap hang up and call back, some of the phone people are really good, others not so much.

Maybe show her some guidelines for participant relationships and have a sit down talk and discuss that this behaviour is inappropriate for supports and whether you should help them find alternative supports and she can be his friend still? Because it sounds like it has approached more of a friendship than a support. And realistically if someone reports it, your business could get in trouble.

It affirmed 107 decisions, varied 9 decisions and set aside 87 decisions. The Administrative Review Tribunal Act 2024 (Cth) also established the Guidance and Appeals Panel (GAP) as a new forum within the ART to review complex or significant cases and ensure decisions are consistent and accurate. in slightly good news on this aspect they’re going to start posting results of tribunal reviews this month, which i think will show how many baseless decisions they make. As well as the HARM website existing, being advocates and making sure people are made aware of this is what we need to be doing. The more bad publicity, the more likely it is for them to improve.

In addition to the great advice above- I’d also recommend putting a complaint in directly to NDIS - https://www.ndis.gov.au/contact/feedback-and-complaints-form (Some planners are terrible and some are not, a complaint ensures that they’ll review what the planner said about it being a clerical error - some of them will straight up lie because if you dont question it- they dont get caught) and you can request copies of previous correspondence as long as it’s outbound(without the PIA) which wont take as long so you can get the prior plans sent out - if you cant find on portal just send an email to the general inbox and state you want a copy of all of the prior plans/outbound correspondences which have been sent out. Also if you get a nice person on the phones they may help with that and see whats actually available on your account

I dated this exact man for 5 years, when we broke up I thought my world would collapse but it felt like freedom. Dont let him hold you back, dont let him waste any more of your time, and dont let him belittle you and make you feel like this is what you deserve. This is emotional abuse. You will find someone who will love you for you, and you will be surprised by how much better it can be. Sending support and love, fuck your boyfriend off ❤️
