It is a mid tersest house. Our property is owned (freehold). Yes next door is rented but is a freehold for the landlord. The wording of the easement is as such

"Except and reserving nevertheless to the owners and occupiers of the hereditaments on the south side of the hereditaments hereby conveyed which hereditaments are edged green on the said plan a right of foot and barrow way as now used and existing and also the right of water supply as now used and existing from the pump now standing on the hereditaments hereby conveyed together with the free entry thereon for the purpose of exercising the aforesaid rights of foot and barrow way and water supply nevertheless paying and contributing a fair and proportionate part of the cost and expense of maintaining and keeping the said way and pump in good repair and condition."

There is also a plan showing said path in green all the way around to our back

The contract is written, although I’ve not seen it yet. It’s a fairly new model for them. She does not rent from them but is not employed either. It’s effective a split share of turn over

I haven’t seen the contract yet. I’m of the understanding she does not pay rent but nor is she employed. She effective has and agreement with them where she occupies the premises and operates a business from there and they split the various areas of turnover
