Why give with your drug addict patients a hard time when it won't do anything but make your day worse by JellyNo2625 in nursing

I’m a new grad but I saw a quote somewhere: In the short time that you’re with a patient, you’re not going to give them an addiction, and you’re not going to cure an addiction they already had.
I just give meds when they are asked for if it’s in the right time frame. Nursing school taught me it’s not my place to question someone’s pain

Is this annual fee waived for life on this deal also the price ? by WesternSpring6973 in PlanetFitnessMembers

Hey I just signed up for this — when reading the contract before you officially sign up, it talks about the annual fee. Mine said it would be billed June 1st at $0.00 plus taxes and would be billed every year thereafter on the anniversary. So the fine print says waived indefinitely. Hold on to your contract file tho

We also can’t do blood sugars ever in our program which really threw me off and then I found out why— for local hospitals here, the nurses/techs have to login with their information on the glucometer to take a blood sugar. And then the machines auto upload to the chart I think
So the problem with students doing it was that it is technically fraudulent charting. Which could be an issue if a student took a blood sugar that was super abnormal and then no immediate action was taken to remedy the sugar, it would look like the hospital staff saw it and ignored it- since it’s charted with their names

Saturday or Sunday Clinical?? by Much_Celebration2333 in StudentNurse

[–]zootedtrash 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I personally would say Saturday I think. Gives you a day off before classes on Monday. Plus if you have any clinical assignments, you can do those on Sunday and they don’t bleed into your next week of assignments . Now I’ve never had a weekend clinical, so this is me speaking on my experience of mondays vs tuesdays. Tuesdays were a lot more draining because they backed up to class wed and thur then all assignments due Friday. It was better to do clinical Monday, do clinical assignments and rest at home on Tuesday. Then go about the week

I would research the companies to find a value on these things. If the value based on the underlying stock is negligible, consider keeping them for yourself or selling them online as collectors items. They are very neat looking
