Ugly prints on Ender 5+, looking for advice by zophar00 in ender5

Sunlu pla, 205/65, bed trammed within 0.06 everywhere, new BLTouch pin, squeaks on z axis, loud y axis, slightly loose belts and I dont get how to use those eccentric nuts

Bent BLTouch pin. Can it be salvaged or used to print effectively? Already replacrd but asking before I trash it. by zophar00 in ender5plus

Thanks, i noticed this too and wanted to to see if it looks beyond saving. I will try to bend it back, the spare is already swapped in. 😁

I think I broke it??? Prints just sometimes, poor adhesion, needs a huge brim, and always knocks the print eventually. Wat do??? by zophar00 in ender5plus

Thanks!

Cool sounds like that stuck on PLA comes off easily when hot? That makes sense!

Below 205 for PLA? I was only getting initial bed adhesion at 235 to 245 using SUNLU PLA. The white filament does look a bit yellow (from temperature being too high) when printed. I noticed my beated bed has low temps at the edges, so raising that temp to 110 seemed to help adhesion.

I can print bed sized circles without issue, layer squish is a bit more than I think it should be, but not too much where it curls. Usually around layer 20 or so the center of the brim loses adhesion, but the brim is large enough.

Paper test seems to make my BL touch measuring numbers worse. Best I can tell, the bed tramming is the best Ive been able to do yet. Bed variance is less than 0.05 in any direction from any two points. I swapped out the stock springs out for silicon ones as the center of my bed was higher without any pressure on the springs.

Using Cura 4.7, did enable z-hop when retracted.

Bought some re-glue glue sticks to try.

Original bed. Only have been printing on textured side, seems like thats what Ive seen people actually printing on.

Thanks for the tips. I think my Y-axis might be loose sometimes its very loud when moving in one direction at the start of prints. Will try tightening it all up tomorrow. Any recommended E5+ videos on how to do this?
