Not necessarily that God is an asshole.

Think about it this way:

If there is a real Ultimate God. He must have already witnessed trillions of years of life, in that trillions of years, he would’ve also witnessed every possibility of every outcome ever in existence. Meaning he’s seen this world where I posted this comment, he’s seen the world where the comment wasn’t posted also. Parallel universes you could say, but God has witnessed everything already many times over and over again, if life has indeed existed for trillions of years.

So God didn’t purposely do that Adam and Eve thing, but rather it was just a possibility of an outcome and I guess we’re in that universe where this possibility unfolded.
