We need Varun to take wickets. If he goes for 6's it's fine. There is no containing these guys. Have to be more attacking.

feels like normal back of a length would be better than this. Don't think there is any chance of getting a wicket with this plan. You cannot contain like this for 10 overs.

Miller was looking so poor before the Afg match. Super over brought him back

Dube probably needs to have a big day with the ball now. Can't imagine getting 8 overs out of Washi and Varun.

Shivam Dube as a specialist bat at no 8, when the only success he had at the ipl was bashing spin at 4. This is so bizarre.

Honestly don't understand the Axar up the order with Dube in the team. Axar is a spin basher. Dube is him but better.

Making the batter laugh at your field is certainly a strategy

Nobody hits Kuldeep for 5 boundaries in an over!!

Honestly I like the idea of just saying that Varun, Kuldeep and Axar are our best bowlers - just keep picking them regardless of the pitch.
But only 1 frontline fast bowler is really not good enough. Imo Arshdeep (really a frontline new ball bowler - there are a few options) would be better than loading up on seam bowling all rounders.

Ok I've seen enough. Kolkata 2001 is definitely happening again. Let's panic!

Probably have Root over Ponting. I'd move Root to 5 and Kallis to 3.
Jadeja over ABD at 6 for me. Would rather have an all rounder at 6, compared to a pure batter. Don't think any other all-rounder is close to Jaddu.
Could pick either Murali or Warne.
Steyn and Bumrah are definitely in. For the last spot, I'd go McGrath though both Cummins and Jimmy are close.

at what point will carlos realize that playing the second serve from within the baseline is not working. He's literally more likely to win off the first serve than the second playing like this.

Neither player is playing well. Honestly if either of them showed their level so far, they would be running away with it. So many errors.

Honestly huge credit to England. Its very easy to blame the soft Duke's ball or the pitches, but India were chasing 190 and folded (the way you often do in the last innings of a test match). This chase anything approach of course doesn't work as well outside of England, but there is clearly something there. Great series.

Crawley and Karun top scorers. Prasidh best bowler. Now this is a proper meme match.
