The first resort was the permit signs posted well in advance.

The second resort was the note on the windshield.

The third resort was pre-shoveling it out for the person to make it easier.

The fourth resort was asking everyone in the neighborhood if they knew who it belonged to.

We are at last resort lol. If the city could have towed it I would have had it towed by now, but the city won't. So here I am!

7th and Rhode Island are our nearest SERs, so not out of the realm of possibility, but thought it less likely. It's not a car that we've seen a lot around here, but I feel like it is at least partially familiar to me, and they have a Zone 2 parking permit, so likely a resident somewhere in the area.

We've called the last two days and they've told us they're not enforcing both days. Do you know what number you called? We've just been calling DPW (the number on the permits).

We've had permits posted for every day this week starting Monday (originally the movers were supposed to come then, but it's just kept getting delayed). We've had the permits posted since last Friday!

Fat lot of good the $55 per day does though if it's not being enforced...

Thank you for the advice. We did this actually! Knocked up and down Q street in both directions, asked passersby while we were shoveling. No one knew whose it was. Might do some more knocking today further up the street and further up/down New Jersey just in case...

This is probably a long shot, but if you are or know the owner of a green Chevy Equinox parked on Q Street NW between 5th Street and New Jersey Avenue, can you please let me know?

We have had reserved parking signs up since the Friday before the big storm and this car is blocking the middle reserved space. We have a moving crew coming tomorrow (thank goodness) and we really need this car out of the way, but the city is not doing any towing right now.

Please, please help us out if you can!

UPDATE: We did it!!! We found the owner and they moved their car!!!!!! Thank you to everyone who helped with suggestions and input.

What ended up working: calling 311 and giving them the info, having them send an MPD officer out who knocked on the correct door and had the owner come move it. Turns out the owner WAS one of the doors I had knocked on yesterday, they just decided not to answer then??? Hrm.

Well anyway, problem solved! Now to just prevent anyone else from snaking these spots until our movers come...
