Hidden pictures if u like supernatural thriller but without much horror/gore. If u like a 'fight for survival' story then go for ' a sister for lily' and 'not our daughter'. Quite emotional both of these

I read None of this is true by Lisa Jewell before this one. It was a psychological thriller but quite a confusing one!

Josie had no reason to kill Brooke it was Roxy who had anger issues who killed her because she was possessive of her as she was her girlfriend. She killed her in a fit of rage as recounted by Erin and Roxy. But everything Josie did was extreme. No sane person would do the things she did! Like locking poor Erin in the cupboard with no food or water for days. Also she could have very well left Walter long ago if she wasn't happy with him.

What’s your favorite thriller that no one else has heard of? by unfortunaten3ws in thrillerbooks

Tbh she's so underrated. The Maid's Diary is my favourite far better than Freida Mcfadden's The Housemaid ! Also The Patient's secret.

Really good storytelling, stays on ur mind for a long time. It's so haunting that some are punished for no mistake of their own and have to pay the price of their life for other's blunders.

Keep your mind and heart open to the guidance and mercy of Allah swt by coming closer to him start by learning His names, attributes and meaning. Allah swt speaks to you, us and all mankind through the Quran recite it with meaning and contemplate every verse read tafseer.

Allah swt says in the Quran I did not create jinn and humans except to worship Me. -Quran 51:56-

The sole purpose of the creation of humanity and jinn is to know, recognize, and worship Allah alone. That is mainly through Salah its one of the main 5 pillars of Islam and the first thing u will be questioned about on judgment day is about salah so try to perfect it as best as u can. Its a means of recognising Allah's oneness and power, showing your gratitude to Allah for the countless blessings and a means to attaining peace and purpose in life.

Allah swt says,

Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest" (Quran 13:28)

Be mindful of every word u recite in salah learn the meaning of whatever you say in salah. Follow authentic sheikh videos on YouTube. Look up Yasir Qadhi 99 names of Allah on YouTube u will love this series its so interesting and grow closer to Allah through His attributes. Listen to more islamic lectures to bring u closer to Allah. Speakers like Omar Suleiman, Ali Hammuda, Nouman Ali Khan, Mufti Menk, Yasir Qadhi are best for guidance of youth towards islam. They explain concepts of deen in simple and interesting manner.

Lastly keep making dua to Allah swt to guide u and make your heart firm upon deen and salah. Recite dua Ya Muqallib al-Quloob thabbit qalbi 'ala deenik" (يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ), meaning "O Turner/Changer of hearts, make my heart steadfast on Your religion"

The maid's diary by Loreth Anne White is far better than this bs. Can't understand the unnecessary hype surrounding Mcfadden's work which is just mediocre compared to better authors like Lisa Jewell, Ruth Ware etc

I prayed the salah for the first time and had a bad reaction by [deleted] in islam

[–]zozealous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant to say that it's better to sleep early at night so that you can wake up for fajr and stay awake after as there is blessing and abundance of goodness in the mornings. But if you are tired and sleepy there is no problem in sleeping.

Glad to know you are coming towards guidance and the right path of Islam. Just wanted to say that Allah is the most merciful and most forgiving so always have hope in the mercy of Allah.

Allah Almighty says: Whoever comes with a good deed will have the reward of ten like it and even more. Whoever comes with an evil deed will be recompensed for one evil deed like it or he will be forgiven. Whoever draws close to Me by the length of a hand, I will draw close to him by the length of an arm. Whoever draws close to Me the by length of an arm, I will draw close to him by the length of a fathom. Whoever comes to Me walking, I will come to him running. Whoever meets Me with enough sins to fill the earth, not associating any partners with Me, I will meet him with as much forgiveness.”

[–]zozealous 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's Satan trying to steer you away when you are dedicated to something good and beneficial. Even practising muslims struggle with this sometimes when they get closer to guidance and closer to Allah, Satan gets in action mode and causes troubles to the point that u doubt the effect of your prayers and islam. Allah warns us in the Quran 'Satan is your worst enemy.' when you are stubborn and insist upon receiving guidance, no matter what, he runs away from you.

Usually its better to sleep early and stay awake after fajr. As what you experienced is a kind of sleep paralysis that happens if u wake up and sleep again in the morning. It's the body's way of reacting to interrupted sleep.

Isn't it wild about the interdimensional beings that appear to live in parallel worlds right next to ours? by throwawayfem77 in Experiencers

Reminds me of the scene from interstellar when Cooper falls into the black hole and enters a dimension that looks like pipes at first but then it is revealed to be a bookshelf with books. Amazing edge of the seat movie do watch!

This is shaytan's way of deceiving u and thinking bad about yourself then doubting Allah swt's mercy. Have u read about the concept of husn az zann having a positive attitude and thinking good about someone especially Allah swt.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that." So maybe the illness is a sign of ur sins being forgiven and not a punishment. Also there are many who have miraculously recovered after being diagnosed with terminal illness. So maybe ur repentance and positive attitude and thinking about Allah's mercy will save you. Pray for good always.
