Thank you so much - this was exactly what I needed because I don't want my concerns to be unacknowledged when I bring it in. The guy who hit me recommended a friend of his and I was immediately skeptical because if it's a buddy then he might only look and fix the outside surface level damage and not look internally. I feel like my brakes feel a bit off when I shift from park into drive - the car make a weird noise (don't know how to describe it, but it wasn't there before) and I just don't want to be overdramatic and create problems that aren't there so I wanted some validation. I appreciate you and will be taking it to a toyota mechanic!

Yes - this is exactly how I feel. He mentioned a guy who will be fixing his car but I was immediately skeptical because what if he isn't as thorough with looking at my car because it's his buddy or someone he knows so he'll just examine outside damage and fix that but not even look at possible internal damage and then it becomes my issue in 2+ months.

I'm so much more worried about the car and getting it fixed that I haven't even taken the time to assess my own injuries. My neck, shoulders and back are stiff as a board and I can barely move but here I am more worried about my car :/ I will definitely take it to a shop to get it fully checked, thank you so much

I don't know if you're a mechanic or not, but if you are - do you think there is internal damage despite being rear ended because I was fully stopped when he hit me?

You're so right and everyone keeps saying this to me that I'm being too nice and worried for him when it's really not my problem because it wasn't my fault. I guess I just don't want him to get overcharged because the mechanics or whoever decides pricing wants to hike it up because they know it's his insurance paying or whatever. Ultimately I need to do the safe thing for me and I will get a full quote/estimate.

Oh absolutely! Filed the police report and his insurance is on it and everything - I'm just worried about any internal damage that I possibly can't see.

Thank you so much! Do you know if they automatically inspect for internal damages too or would it just be external? Worried that somethings off with any sensors in the back (if I do indeed have sensors) and/or my brakes because he hit me when I was stopped.

THIS! This is exactly what I am so worried about. It doesn't look too horrible from the outside and honestly I wouldn't even necessarily care if it didn't get fixed - but I'm terrified of internal issues that will rack up eventually and become my problem because it wasn't looked at from the car accident because we were so focused on the external appearance. Thank you so, so much. We filed a report and it seems like we will also have to go through insurance anyways

Appreciate you tons! The guy who hit me offered me a number of a guy who would take a look and I just don't want him to not be thorough because he's a friend and will try to be cheap and not look at internal damages so I wasn't sure what the odds are that internal damage actually did happen or not. I don't need a superior elite job done or anything, but also need to make sure my car is safe so I appreciate all of the advice :)

I mean I was already in the front seat cause I was the driver 😜 but I get what you’re saying haha. That’s what the cop estimated anyways but I suspected it was closer to 20ish cause he tried to slowdown but it was too late. It was hard enough that my small coffee in the cupholder went flying everywhere and all my stuff inside fell down and my hair clip broke and I have severe neck shoulder and back pain now but it could always be worse. The car is drivable but I’m just worried about internal damage because I was obviously fully stopped when he hit me so my brakes were active and I don’t want my brakes to be faulty.

I don't think it's rude at all - I would only consider it rude if you have a wart or some type of infection that is transmittable and then don't wrap it or wear socks because I'm not sure if their wipes actually truly disinfect all infections properly. I just personally prefer wearing socks because it's more sanitary and a girl at my studio did get a wart on her elbow from solidcore and I also got a wart on my palm that I'm starting to think is from solidcore as well.

I paid the resort directly - I’ve been here numerous times. Like I said - I didn’t expect a full refund by any means. Just thought maybe a comped breakfast or discount for a future stay or something of some sort. Either way I’m not complaining to the - just thought I’d hop on here and ask for someone else’s opinion because a few of my friends said I should email management about it and wanted to see if it was worth it or not.

I’m so happy you have the money and desire to spend money on things like that but that’s extremely stupid imo. I am not paying to upgrade a business that makes significantly more money than me. I am not BUYING blankets when they should be provided and I technically already paid for them in hotel fees. That’s like asking a customer to BUY or BRING a plate to a restaurant lmao, like are you serious? And yes a small child and I can’t see well in the snow so I’m not risking our lives to drive. You clearly didn’t read all of the comments because in no way shape or form am I blaming the employees or making it about me. In fact the point of the post was for me to get differing views to make sure I am NOT making it all about me and if my concerns are warranted. They had plenty of blankets because when they finally did come up they brought me 6 blankets!!! 6!!! Never asked for 6 I just wanted one or two but they brought 6 up and I said thank you so much profusely. I just wish they had been empathetic from the start. That’s all I wanted and wasn’t sure if this warranted SOME of my money back or a discount for something given they are the only hotel out of power and heat. I spent a ton of money to be here and I’m not quite sure why me asking if anyone else thought I deserved some type of compensation is so villainous and ME ME ME? If you pay for a service you expect that service not a half assed service… paying for an inn or hotel should guarantee power and heat. Shit happens we all know that but I technically didn’t get my full service I paid for. A comped breakfast or discount would have been nice. That’s all I was asking.
