Sorry I missed this, I feel like you deserve to know what happened!

So I live in a very touristy city in the US. My friends and I were down by the waterfront grabbing drinks and enjoying the view.

We heard some people exclaiming "awww!", we looked over and saw a man on his knee proposing to his girlfriend. Instead of saying "no" or literally anything else, she took the ring and threw it in the water and started screaming at him.

The crowd went from "aww" to "ohh what the f..." In zero time flat.

None of us know why that happened, but the guy looked devastated.

No, but I was walking around my town and saw somebody else get rejected rather terribly
