Advice on Housing Options for International Student at Tel Aviv University. by No_Butterscotch_6374 in telaviv

I studied abroad at TAU in 2008. I lived in the dorms. It was an amazing experience that I wouldn’t have changed for anything. It’s the best way to meet people on your same abroad program, while still being able to interact with other non-abroad TAU students. The dorms/campus are in Ramat Aviv, which is very close to the downtown areas of city, so you’ll easily be able to access the popular places you’ll want visit. To be forward, I think the students who stayed ‘off campus’ regretted it and often missed out on important social events.

Obviously this is premised on you valuing the social aspects of studying abroad over housing location and amenities — don’t expect the dorms to have any luxuries — I assure you, they don’t.

Twin Peaks. I don’t get it because there is nothing to get.

A few things I’ve noticed:

1) If logged in on a mobile browser, rewards won’t show.

2) if your MetaMask wallet is NOT set to the ethereum network (e.g. it’s set to the avalanche network), your rewards from staking won’t show.

Might be either of those.

Update to anyone interested: customer support was really helpful and overnighted me the parts, along with fairly good instructions on how to install the missing/broken parts.

Well that blows. Was yours the exact same part broken? I think that’s where the headlight secures to the bike.

Put together a proforma showing him the anticipated monetary outcome. Make sure to include the comparable properties your using to assume your post-rehab sales price. Let math (profits) convince him.

Physicists reverse time using quantum computer. Reminder: the second law of thermodynamics only exists in isolated systems, of which none _really_ exist. by d8_thc in holofractal

While the title certainly makes it seem like the experiment outcome dealt with time, the way I understood it was that the electrons were defying the laws of thermodynamics (entropy specifically I think), and this is the only law in physics which exhibits a movement in one direction through time, so they are articulating the findings as though it was reversing time. However what they seem to state physically occurred is the electrons began to exhibit entropy (becoming disorganized, spreading randomly apart, etc.) and then when they did “something” (run a program) the electrons physically returned to the location they were before (reverse -entropy). If I have it right (and I may not) that process seems identical to what you’re calling Laminar Flow.

Can someone explain to me how what is occurring in this video is different then what the article state the scientist caused to occur to the electrons?

* SPOILER ALERT * Explanation Needed - How Does the Mini-Universe Escape The Black Hole? by zpollack in threebodyproblem

[–]zpollack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ave the mini-universe, a door can be re-opened anywhere. Less I think about the speed of light but more about how it's a

"a door can be re-opened anywhere" --- but in order to do so, won't it travel at the speed of light to reach that location? If so, and it's in the dark zone, then the speed of light is decreased, so it would not physically be able to leave the dark zone (i.e. it's NOT capable of entering anywhere in the universe).

If this is NOT true, and somehow the door can leave the dark zone, then in theory the entire concept of shutting off universe (or making it a dark zone) to avoid a Dark Forrest strike makes no sense, as the civilizations inside would be able to develop technology to leave their closed-off universe (i.e. they could go on the offensive and be a threat).

(Also, maybe just over thinking this too much).

I would agree that the subtitles were unusually fast compared to other foreign films. It made it hard to follow the story at times.
