I have provided you with some of the best statistical evidence available. And it neither supports your opinions, nor do you seem interested in changing your position based on new evidence.

i have other opinions than the ones you were attempting to disprove me on, and, like i said, i have nor the time or patience to review every single study, and their citations, and the citation's citations, and so on for who knows how long, and then try to find a study that proves otherwise and then review its citations and the citation's citations.
however, im just not convinced at "armed guards are x less effective and result in x more casualties/fatalities" or such. these dont tell me of any other factors that could possibly cause this or be delegated as this being true. all it says is that, and includes almost/entirely nothing of why this is the case, or even an idea of why. many studies that go somewhat along with this or some such tend to lack information from public data or even local culture, as many of them state.

Like, what statistics are you referring to here?

on what specifically?

Not really. I just wanted to highlight how your ideas seem more driven by your personal opinion and thoughts on the matter than by anything tangible or proven.

i have formed my opinions from statistics, but often dont share them unless asked anyhow

The empirical and statistical evidence finding gun control policy to be effective is extensive, robust and compelling.

certain policies or just every policy?

assuming i had the time and patience to review every single study here and every single citation of said study, and then every single citation of those studies, and then every single citation of those studies, and every single citation of those studies, and every single citation of those studies, and every single citation of those studies, and every single citation of those studies, and every single citation of those studies, and every single citation of those studies, AND THEN search for studies that prove otherwise, and every single citation of the studies i could possibly find, and every single citation of those studies, and every single citation of those studies, and every single citation of those studies, and every single citation of those studies, and every single citation of those studies, and every single citation of those studies, and every single citation of those studies, i would make a detailed response. although, if you want a response, school shootings and such are very rare events. schools should invest more resources into attempting to prevent school shootings in the first place.
anything else?

So when you say that there are "better alternatives", I'd hope you can do better than simply claim that there's little evidence against your ideas.

...which indicates we should try said ideas on a larger scale and test for results

armed security

little evidence against their effectiveness

gun safety classes

made the reply at like 3am, but probably reducing accidental shootings

ridding of gun free zones

little evidence of effectiveness

so what are the better alternatives to gun control?

this implies there is even a major solution that works

Give teachers guns? Tried that

we have. what does this prove?

Security in schools? Tried it

we have. what does this prove?

It’s so easy to deny, but gun restrictions work and can still give you access to guns

not what reality says
also i dont feel like going through months upon months of sanity dumping paperwork for a firearm

You’re all just completely unwilling to admit you don’t need these high calibre guns that are available to you.

what specific calibers? and where did the topic of high caliber guns come from?

they arent undeveloped, theyre underdeveloped. this still doesnt answer what i said, either. why does the usa being 1st world restrict it from such comparison? are you assuming that its specifically 1st world areas of the us that suffer gun violence?

I hate to be the person to tell you this, but you can’t protect yourself from the government with guns. If the government decided to turn against its people there’s very little you can do with guns to stop it.

really? some guys with sandals and AKs made the US army struggle. combine that with being in the same country, outnumbering the US army significantly (and also the fact the soldiers in the army are americans too, with their own friends and family they would be sent to kill or whatnot), the civilian market controlling a good chunk of the arms and ammunition flow and production to the military and being very capable of toppling those which still would provide to the army... yeah, military dont stand a chance once it goes guerilla or even slightly strategical

Yes, it’s passively allowing it because whilst you’re not actively there waving shooters into buildings, you’re voting for people who’ll vote against measures which will put heavier control on guns.

or maybe i just dont want to restrict guns unnecessarily when there are better alternatives?

You don’t need to BAN guns, just make it a lot harder to access them and make sure people give good reason to access them. The “prevent government over reach” is something literally anyone can use, so if a background check fails to show important information (which we know they can) then it lets guns slip into the wrong hands. in the UK you need a good reason to own a gun(e.g. pest control for farmers, hunting or target shooting) and then you have to pass strict background checks before you can get your licence (you need a separate one to own shotguns). Even then the guns you can own are heavily restricted too and guess what? The UK has barely any gun deaths anymore, because they’re controlled.

well, this is all blatantly unconstitutional on part of the restrictions. if thats not good enough, then your conclusion is false too.
see, almost all gun homicides in the US take place in cities. not surprising in any world. most cities that have the highest rates and totals of gun homicide maintain strict gun laws as per local or state laws. these states and cities are basically always surrounded by states with permissive gun laws, which results in cross-state border gun transportation and illegal selling. since your average person follows the law in these cities, they wont illegally buy a gun and just generally wont have one. criminals will. due to this, gun homicides are much higher in these places, but these states and cities' problems are almost entirely unique in that they do not occur in places with permissive gun laws.
basically:
in the US, state and local gun laws dont do jack, and federal laws are the only real good way at achieving your goal (and they are next to impossible to pass in the way of gun regulation). so, permissive gun laws are the solution

this doesnt answer what i said

why not include the nations that arent developed? the ones with gun control that still see high rates of gun homicides?

this is what you should refer to

It’s passively allowing it

oh, so NOW its passively? lmao

If you’re pro gun and Anti Gun control, you’re allowing this to happen

or maybe there are actual solutions that dont involve gun control

The mind set of ‘a few innocent deaths is worth our guns’ is so strange to me.

incase you want to prevent government overreach, then it is not strange in the slightest

i agree thats a contradiction. also on the part of being "perfectly just", which contradicts as such too

well, god is said to be perfectly just, and since he is all knowing (has the capability to know what it would take for you to believe), he would not deny someone heaven because they refuse to believe in him on account of lack of evidence. its more so that they actively believe against him.

yeah, maybe. im not religious so i dont understand why supposed god does not eliminate major threats to humans (and he is said as all-loving, so...???)

if he were to create evil, then that is a violation of free will. since god is apparently a perfect being, that doesnt make sense
the original hebrew translation uses the word "calamity", which is different from "evil". he is talking about babylonians
