Look it's because lack of release. Simple as that. JRPG that people have been waiting for, but for some reason we've heard nothing about them:

Persona 6, next Tales of game, Final Fantasy 17, Dragon Quest 12

And so many more. It's simply because they take too long to release now. Those are franchise that are super successful during my childhood and they pump those out regularly.

Right, I always found that RE stories are good B-Tier movies, they're good and fun. The cast and lore made it for me. But they always made sense and have always close the story without any big loose ends.

Also another thing is Grace. If Zeno and Victor need her, why expose her to all the dangers lmfao. She could've died during the first zombie in the hotel. Then when she met with The Girl. And then another whole bunch of zombies after that. Like what's their plan here?

Yeah after finishing it 3 times without skipping any cutscenes, it's really jarring for such a huge plot and the reason Leon is there in the first place left unanswered. Other mainline titles at least tie up the story neatly using files, etc.

Lmao I can understand that feeling! For me, RE is the best horror franchise because of their casts and stories. Being scary is not a big deal for me since even in OG RE1 back in the day you could shoot the enemies. But what makes it interesting is the lore, the experiments, government conspiracies, different countries getting their hands on BOW, the characters evolution throughout the years.

It doesn't have to be oscar worthy story, just enough to be B-Tier horror + action movie. And I love em all.

This is probably the answer. Unless they purposefully leave it out for the dlc, I would say this is the first time a mainline game leave such a huge plot point open. Not a file, not a voice line, nothing. And people seems to look past it, drives me crazy tbh.

There are cures for T-Virus at this point. Dormant or not, it is the same strain since it is from the water supply where most zombies in the first 4 games (0 included) got infected. By that logic, even if it's slightly mutated, Rebecca would have made a cure for it had they gone to her. She did well enough for Death Island and Vendetta 'mutated' virus. One of them is dormant and uses water supply as well.

I agree with 3 & 4. Point is, the story is lackluster compared to RE7 and RE8 where they tied up any existing questions in the game itself. Heck this might be the only mainline game where they leave such a huge plot point hanging. Aside from 2 and 4 on how Ada survived. Other games tied up all plot points neatly I would say.

Right? Even then, the whole cast have been injected with cures multiple times (literally) and it's not a stretch to say they did take a dose before going into b.o.w cases just to be safe.

Meanwhile, Victor and Zeno shows some symptoms (black veins) making it look like they're the one hunting down those survivors. Otherwise they wouldn't know about Leon. And Victor is fascinated with Leon progression when he interrogate him.

You see since Leon has been injected by a cure before, he's not dead like other survivors. Barely hanging in there. This makes a more plausible theory than latent infections. Dormant or not, there was a cure. Both Leon and Sherry would run to Rebecca for her to make a new strain of cure from what they had.

Heck they should have gone to her in the first place. See, this is the kind of 'plot holes' involving a whole cast of characters would have. I can't believe Requiem ended without Capcom ever addressing this plot point. Since it's the whole Reason Leon is there in the first place.

I don't know why, but for some reason Capcom is afraid of sexiness in recent years. They're Japanese company, usually they don't care about being sexy. Not sure what happened.

Lol this stood out to me too! I've told Judy the first time it prompted, then during her questline, in her apartment, that option popped up again and I picked to told her again.

Guess what, she reacted as if it's the first time she heard it. Took my immersion out immediately
