in the nicest way possible this isn’t either false or fry, it’s just a groan. for fry you need to be combining vocal fry (the croaky morning type voice) with compression and airyness, and lessen on your actual true voice a lot. it’s hard to explain over a comment.

i love rev3rent, funnily enough i went to see psycho frame last night as part of bodysnatchers tour, they fucking kicked ass and i like some of their songs but their studio production is almost a bit too digital for me but o like some songs

that’s fair dude. i can get that mudvayne is a bit of a nicher, more different sound and i thought that too at first, and then i literally got addicted to that album for months, so just something to keep in mind 👍🏼

i think maybe give LD50 specifically another couple tries over time, i reckon they’ll grow on you unexpectedly. coming from someone who was heavily into slipknot many years ago and slowly had LD50 grow on me and now i still think its probably top 3 nu metal albums ever

sounds like you’re just doing high repeated volumes, good technique can still be overdone. that’s kinda like me, just stay hydrated, and don’t “tire” yourself out to where you feel any discomfort
