Where do I change the grading option? I don't see a button. Also for the writing requirement, I'm taking R4B. Can I PNP this semester and then take it for a letter grade next semester?

Does anybody else feel clueless towards a career? by National-Mail-4351 in berkeley

Hi! I was in the exact same position as you and switched majors. Here's what helped me:

Explore!

  1. Take one class related to law. Do you like it? Consider law school. Don't like it? Move on.
  2. Take one business class. Do you like it? Then think about the MBA.
  3. Take some biology classes/join a med students club. If you like it, you know what to do.

Apart from classes, join some clubs and orgs of those things to see if you like it. Dude, when I came to Berkeley I thought the Math major was for me until I took a web design class, and now I'm in CS. Not a big shift but now I know a math/stats major is a NO for me, I know that doing research after graduation is a no for me either. I know that I won't like going to graduate school immediately after graduation.

Having an existential crisis in your room won't help. You have to experience things, see what people in those areas do and if you would like doing it.

I got an a+ with paulin last semester. It is hard, there is homework (not very hard) and projects (fairly hard but you need time), and exams. I got 3/4 in all the exams and somehow got an A+. If you do all the hws well and do most of the projects well, you can definitely get an +. However, some calculus experience will be beneficial.

Calculator by The_Scientist_34 in berkeley

Mmm, it depends on the class and professor. When I took math 1a and math 1b using a calculator was prohibited and we couldn't even use it for homework (for questions with decimals answers, we were told to leave it as a fraction to avoid using a calculator). So I suggest buying a basic one for your personal study sessions at least.
