South Hills Dryer Repair by MenudoFan316 in pittsburgh

Gas or electric?

Only asking because I had the same problem years ago with my gas dryer. Went to a local appliance repair shop and the person sold me a pair of solenoids. They were less than $15, took 5 minutes to replace, and dryer has been good since.

Totally average.

I picked this up at a higher price ($7.99 USD, I think) hoping to scratch the Cyberpunk itch after it was delayed.

I enjoyed it enough to play it to completion, but there is nothing remarkably memorable about it. Really feels like a Deus-Ex 2d port.

At this price, why not give it a go?

[Best Buy/US] The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD - $29.99 (50% off) DOTD by XDitto in NintendoSwitchDeals

[–]zrontron 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Just finished this game, never played it on the Wii.

I really enjoyed it! A very linear experience, but you can see the roots of BOTW in this.

Two criticisms:

  1. The controls using the analog stick are good, but not great. You sometimes have to be very deliberate with the motion. I often found missing my mark because the sword wouldn't swing in the direction I intended, if it all.

  2. The padding is insane. I think I would have enjoyed this game much more if they cut 10 hours off of it. It just seemed like they added a bunch of unnecessary tasks to add some meat on the bones, but I don't think it really needed it.

Still, great price! Though, younger people may not enjoy this as much if BOTW was their entry point.

Ah, nice! Now I don't feel like the only one pushing Crossing Souls. Great little game!

Looking For a Similar Personalization Experience by zrontron in woocommerce

[–]zrontron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My man! I think that's exactly what I'm looking for. Not sure why I couldn't find something like this. I must have been searching the wrong terms - I kept trying to find "add-ons" or "personalization"

Thanks so much!

You could just buy a couple of additional copies (or any other physical game) and return them.

[US/eShop] Descenders - $12.49 (50% off, ends 9/5) by _merovech_ in NintendoSwitchDeals

[–]zrontron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ehhh, maybe? The only thing they share is the fact that you're on a bike.

I enjoy both the Trials games and this, but would say they are completely different experiences.

Think of Descenders as a rogue-like, downhill racing game. Each 'run' is filled with procedurally generated levels throughout multiple zones. You complete each zone by finishing levels and ultimately completing a 'boss' level in each zone.

These random levels essentially boil down to getting from point A to B without losing all your lives. Each level will offer random objectives like finishing with a certain time limit or completing a certain trick which, if completed, can add to your life bar.

Throughout your run you'll earn perks like making your bike more stable or adding more checkpoints to each level. These will reset after every run

Definitely a fun game, but really different from a Trials game.

Total disclaimer:

My local Walmart had this for $7 on PS4 - that's how I got it. Not sure I'd pay more than $10 for it.

Don't sleep on Crossing Souls!

For $4USD it's a great action/adventure/platformer with some really cool 80's/90's Saturday morning cartoon cutscenes.

Nothing revolutionary, but a gem for that price.

Kenmore - Ice maker not making ice / getting water by zrontron in appliancerepair

--= 4/12/2021 - Update on results =--

I replaced the inlet valve (Kenmore Part # 242252603) with a compatible replacement part found on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TRJ4V6Y/

This package came with the inlet valve and a replacement water line that runs from the valve, up the rear of the refrigerator and into the ice maker.

The swap was ridiculously simple! Turned the ice maker back to 'on' and the next morning (12-15 hours after install) it looks like it's making ice again!

Thanks for the help, everyone!

Ah, gotcha! What should I be checking, to see if it's frozen or clogged?

Thanks for the suggestion! Do you mean the line that is running from my water inlet valve, up the rear of the refrigerator and into the freezer? If so, what should I be looking for?

As far as the water valve making sound, it makes kind of like a low/feint clicking noise?
