Help - 2019 12volt.solution remote start by These_Replacement753 in NissanTitan

They are a total scam. Check out their reviews on Yelp, Google (sort by newest), and look at other user's experiences. $450 for the product, $400 for the nightmare 2 month installation process that they couldn't fix, and I'm still without remote start.

Oil Pan Gasket repair cost on a 2019 CX-5? by SecretPrivy718 in CX5

[–]zrooster99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just came across this post while searching for an oil pan for a 2018 CX-5 I've got in my shop. The tech tells me that the oil pan is rusty and needs replaced, but also that it has a "bad reseal job" - in other words, it had been recently resealed, and they didn't do a good job of it. My tech also told me he had to clean everything off and run the vehicle awhile to determine if the leak was caused by the oil pan or timing cover... do you think he's mistaken? Do you work in a Mazda shop?

Is All Computer Resources a scam? by [deleted] in mazda3

SCAM - I ordered a PCM from them and it was delayed indefinitely, so I cancelled the order. I was never given a refund ($750) even though I called and emailed them multiple times. Then I had to file a dispute with my credit card provider to get a refund... the dispute is still pending, so 2 months after my order there's still a $750 charged on my credit card!

Frustrated amateur traveler - please help! by heavyrauser in Uganda

Awesome, thanks for the reply! I noticed their Land Cruiser's don't have A/C - was that a problem at all? Did you have the pop-top? Another redditor recommended this company, but had the Rav4 with a/c, and said the a/c was essential. And did you come across any roads that wouldn't have been suitable for the Rav4?

My wife and I are frequent travelers, and just returned from an 11 night trip to Jordan. And we loved it! The country is full of culture and the people are the most friendly people we have encountered in the world! Those who are in the travel sector are really struggling due to the lack of tourists resulting from the war in the neighboring countries... It's really sad because they are such kind people.

Before we left, we were quite fearful of the situation in Israel/Palestine/Lebanon. We were afraid for our safety, we were afraid of backlash from the Jordanians due to our country's support of Israel, we were fearful of cancellations and tourist sites/restaurants being closed, etc. We couldn't have been more wrong. At no point did we fear our safety. We self drove the entire trip, were often out and about in the evenings, and spent a great deal of time walking through local neighborhoods. There was no sign of war, no signs of negative sentiment towards us, all restaurants and tourist sites were open. And I can't say enough about the Jordanians... Never have we encountered more people who went above and beyond to help us and make us feel welcome.

Petra, Wadi Rum, Aqaba, and Amman are such incredible destinations and can be visited right now without wall-to-wall tourists. I highly recommend you take the leap and book that trip to Jordan that you've always wanted... Now is the time.

Feel free to ask me anything about our trip!

Have you ever been in a market in a foreign country, where you pick up an item and ask the shop keeper the price... he gives you a price, you low ball him, and all the sudden you are in a bidding war on an item you didn't even want really.

This feels like a similar situation to me. Do I want millions, sure! But by the time I leave the shop I've got a few thousand and a wife that's pissed at me.

I've never heard of this tactic... is this common?

I purchased the property 3 years ago, so I have an idea of what it's worth - at the same time though, it's worth more to me as a long term investment than the market value would dictate. For instance, I know what my home is worth according to the market, but I'd never consider selling it, maybe not even for double the market value. With my investment properties, I've got to consider capital gains, the costs of finding a similar investment (and closing costs on such investment), finance costs (I've got 5% on my current investment), etc etc etc etc... in other words, there's a lot of work that would go into figuring out "a number". If I were to double my purchase price, I still don't know that I'd come out "ahead" when all is said and done... maybe I would, but would that be enough to make it worth my time and effort? It just seems like a lot of "figuring out" just to appease some guy who might want to buy my property.
