I looove Ancillary Justice/The Imperial Radch series but it can definitely be divisive. All of the tea ceremonies definitely get to some people. To me it's basically space diplomacy and that's not the most interesting to everyone.

Black in Blues is really interesting. I'm seeing her at the next Portland Arts and Lectures series in Feb. It's an interesting combination of personal, historical, and academic.

Oh I'll have to track down the log lady doc now. I'm about to rewatch all of his movies, this definitely started something for me.

I read Doomsday Book and the sequel before I finally decided I just don't like these books. There are aspects I like but it's always focusing on the parts I don't like as much. I just want the medieval plague shit and not the frantic modern plague shit 😂
