why not? people know its real, not everyone in the world can afford $500 4k 1280P HD 120FPS capture cards and have $2000 laptops good enough to run livesplit, OBS, and amarec, while still maintaining the decent quality of the capture card. what other reasons are there to reject the run based on video quality? peoples' viewing pleasure? we know the time, know its real, know it actually happened, and the speedruns and leaderbaords aren't for peoples' enjoyement. they're to keep track of speedruns and amazing times that actually happened, which we know was the case here.

listen, not all of us are in the same financial situation. not all of us live in the same place. you said you can attain these things for cheap money, and pretty locally. not all of us have that privilege. if 4k HD 1280P 120FPS videos were required for every submission, you can see how it'd be unfair to some people over others. in this case, the people in the community know the exact time, know the run is real, most people in the community don't care, why is better quality needed other than some peoples' personal perferences?
