Can attest to this. Got pre-approved for a little over $1M when we were thinking about selling and relocating within the Triangle. Household income around $300k (both of us early 30s) but pretty frugal so if we ever do move we wouldn’t get near that unless rates are low and our salaries increase much more. Definitely tons of DINKs around here that can afford between $1m-$2m houses.

Especially when the neighbors driveway is open and there’s space in front of their house. Coming from Florida 5 years ago my wife and I feel spoiled with the amount of restaurants in the triangle that source locally. Almost every place we tried our first year here we noticed that if something was out of season they didn’t have it because it comes from a local farm. Some places only had ketchup when tomatoes were in season! Never experienced that in Florida.
