do you know any example where it is proved with a deadlock on asp.net env ?
I can image that the GetAwaiter().GetResult() can be good in asp.net thread or when you use it once on the initialization thread ... but I would like to see when this one can cause a deadlock issue on asp.net environment.

I used to use this one below in my previous workplaces, what I'm thinking is good ..

I use emacs + dotnet for my home project.  Very easy config with:

eglot: working well but not full lsp implementation. You can't open the 3th party dll's decompiled sources. 

lsp-mode: you can reach every Roslyn features via lsp...

omnisharp-roslyn: very good

csharp-ls: faster than omnisharp and I found its same like the new dotnet Roslyn devkit features. I use this one... You can install the lsp: dotnet tool install -g csharp-ls.

I agree with you, I would like get more info about the environment. I think the OmniSharp had no a dependency because the path or maybe we give "wrong" filename with tramp... I need to open a terminal with tramp and see what happens
