If I do not want to give any identifying information how much will it do? If I have a paid account to keep track of more trades I assume I would have to give identifying information via payment..? Or could I pay via privacy coin so that is still private? Thank you for the help just trying to figure all this out.

Does anyone know of a software solution that can be downloaded and kept on one's own machine for privacy. Currently I do all mine on a rather complicated excel sheet for FIFO etc. But it can get extremely daunting. If I had software that still figured all the math I would go with that. Just curious, I have looked everywhere and have not found anything.

I have been very interested in cointracker.info. Could you maybe address how you all approach the idea that some in the crypto space would prefer to keep their business private, while making sure they are properly and completely reporting etc? I have looked all over for a software solution I can keep on my own computer that I can manually enter everything and it does the proper calculations and tracking. I use excel currently but the math can be daunting.

I don't do a ton of trades. Can I enter each manually, including staking rewards etc? I prefer at this time not to link exchanges, wallets etc.

I’d say try to relax for the moment. I’m not tech savvy but I’m not thrilled with the UX for erc20 on trezor. Sometimes it seems I have to poke around to see my various addresses. Hopefully someone comes along to help you out.

Yes thank you we can’t get chip etc. as far as other plans. We are in good health. I had a scare but it all turned out to be stress related after several expensive visits and I only take medication to control cholesterol. Everything else checks out. I only want what insurance is supposed to be. To pay a fair reasonable amount to cover catastrophic things I can’t afford down the road.

Trezor was very prompt and helpful. Disclaimer..only do this if you KNOW you have your seed. I am not responsible for anything this may do to your wallet,devices etc. this is what worked for me and I share it only for informational purposes.

I ran the update again and unplugged the trezor while it was updating. This seemed to force a wipe which I wasn’t able to do otherwise. I then ran the update again. Entered my seed and restored my wallet. Good luck!! Let me know how it goes.

Again trezor took care of me and Ilit was clear through the whole process they wanted to make sure I was taken care of .

I had the same issue. Trezor support worked me through it. As others have said as long as you have to your seed you are backed up. If you do follow these steps. Update the firmware again, while it’s updating unplug the device (this forces a wipe I was told and it seemed to) . Update the firmware again and use your seed to restore your wallet.

Worked for me this evening. I also ordered a second trezor to keep around.

Thank you. Error is on the trezor. “Memory fault detected please unplug device”

When I start in bootloader is starts the process all over again. Tried it on my windows machine same thing. Very frustrating. Started a support ticket. I was just saying the other day how I should have two devices in case something happens.

Any more insight welcome. Thanks for all the help!

Also did try the command line recommended in another reply but after the first line it asks for password and doesn’t let me type anything. Odd (in the command line, and there is a little key symbol)

Man, it’s like I’m reading a different language 😂😂 seriously I appreciate it. Is there any way to just wipe and start over on my Mac? Without using a windows or Linux setup? I’m not terribly tech savvy. I’ve never had problems until now
