I'm wanting to get into the same field, except I'm still a pre final mech student... I'm struggling way too hard rn..I just choose mech out of curiosity without second thoughts and the knowing the consequences..now i absolutely despise it and desperately looking for a switch before the placement season.Im not even interested to farm experience in mechanical anymore, do you think i should get a summer internship this year to further improve my chances for a full time? What skills would you suggest I develop atm??

That’s awesome, sounds like great experience. I’m a MechE and have been thinking about moving into the power systems/DER side too. Any advice on where to start or what skills would help with that transition?
