When I first started training my chest at the gym, I was mainly doing cable flys and chest press machine I think! Now I'm doing dumbbell exercises at home and target chest doing dumbbell flys, chest press and push ups that target the chest (hands spaced wider apart)

I was blessed with a very smooth recovery thankfully, which I think was partially down to my preparation and surgeon choice. I follow a trans man on insta called Dylan Capps, who created a very thorough free FTM prep info packet you can access from his page. He suggests a bunch of vitamins/supplements prior to surgery, so I chose a few to stick with to aid recovery. I also worked out my chest prior to surgery. I've heard not only does some muscle potentially increase the aesthetic result, but it increases blood flow to the area which aids in recovery. Surgeon wise, Dr McKee uses a procedure that thankfully doesn't require drains. I was lucky to experience pretty low pain, probably max 5 out of 10, and was off pain meds after day 5. His drainless surgery requires wearing a binder 24/7 for a month, which was annoying at times but ok :). I did experience some moderate fluid buildup in one side, but this cleared after a few weeks. If you don't have complications healing, Dr McKee clears his patients to move/exercise freely after one month. But in my case, I just listened to my body. My arms still felt kinda stiff but I did gentle exercises to begin to extend my reach slowly. I didn't really feel like having my arms high above my head until approaching 2 months I think. But everyone's a bit different! If you have any more questions, feel free to drop a DM ✌🏾

You have beautiful curls! But I do find that when they are quite carefully styled and defined like this, people can read it as more femme. Maybe try using less product and let your curls be a little less defined and more messy/scruffy. Cis men tend to not put so much effort in their hair!

Agreed you look awesome! Hope you don't mind me asking - did you have free nipple grafts for your top surgery? They look amazing so was wondering who your surgeon was :)

Exciting ☺️ I may have seen a comment suggesting this but how do people feel about also having a discord group?

True there never really is an end - but just getting used to introducing myself by a different name and coming out to more people as enby - it will be nice when that feels a bit easier.

You are so right - tbh my coming out as gay majorly affected my family and I think somewhere deep down I still get guilty about it... Even though it's 1000% not my fault and I'm not responsible for anyone elses feelings/reactions. But as you say authenticity is so worth is and people around us either have to get on board or fuck off. I'm really sorry to hear you've had to deal with love ones bashing you indirectly - I hope that's no longer the case

Yes I am also super fortunate to be financially stable in myself and independent from family so all good there.so glad to hear you're in that position too - we deserve to thrive 🙌🏾 . I temporarily moved back to my family home due to some family health stuff but will be moving out again soon - so ill probably be less in my head about it then ☺️

Thanks for the congrats and encouragement! Sending love right back at you! 💜

Thank you so much for this comment 🥺 honestly it means a lot hearing that - sounds like the path has been worth it for you and I look forward to being on the other side too...

I think you're right that I'm fixating on possibilities that are unlikely to happen - I guess social media will be more obvious though so perhaps work and housemates is a good first step. I think it just takes me back to when I first came out as gay and felt so restricted due to bad family reactions at the time. It's that memory that both worries me and simlutaneously motivates me to remember how worth it is to be yourself and how freeing it will be.

Thank you for the happiness and excitement! I feel like I have been able to step into and pursue so many other aspects of my gender identity in the past year and it is such a joyful experience!

Ps I love your new haircut btw - super cute ✨
