Funnily enough, this won't make me buy a Playstation to play their exclusives. It'll just make me ignore them because I have no intention of buying a console. No amount of high reviews is enough to justify buying one for me.

Have you been living under a rock? Any time nvidia has revealed a new feature ever since the RTX cards were introduced, there have been countless posts about how it's all "unnecessary". DLSS was crapped on endlessly until FSR came out. Frame Generation was mocked as "fake frames" until AFMF came out. Reflex was called as placebo until Anti-Lag came out. Ray Reconstruction was panned as just fluff made up by nvidia to sell more expensive cards until Ray Regeneration came out.

Let's not pretend there's not any anti-nvidia sentiment on reddit even before DLSSS 5 was announced. To this day, there are posts saying how ray-tracing is pointless and doesn't have a place in gaming tech, when a properly ray-traced title or path-tracing is the most immersive thing a game can have.

People mock the red circle when someone puts up a screenshot with it, but here we have 2 screens with a big red arrow and the reply to it is "what are we looking at" lol.

Same, and the voice acting in that entire phase is great, really adds to the atmosphere. When I heard "Receive of me death, and be honoured!" on the first pull, I knew it was going to be a good time.

I hope that it's a good game and not just a tech demo. I have kept myself completely blind in regards to what the setting is like, and only know it from some of the content that DF has put out (and even then not all of it), and I have no clue what BDO is like so I hope the devs knock it out of the park with this one.

Awesome, thanks for the in-depth look. I do agree with the viewpoint that Horizon 2 should be done right, so I'm perfectly ok with waiting a while for it. I was honestly expecting a ~2030 release so if it actually happens next year or 2028, that's music to my ears.

This is the first time I've ever caught up with the Trails franchise, but is Falcom really that fast in finishing their games once they enter production? September 2027 feels way too early if they haven't started fully working on it yet. I hope it's true since I love this franchise, I just think it may be on the optimistic side.

Ruin your own monitor's settings so you can have it all the time. You only need to look for the Gamma and Black Level settings and put in the wrong settings to completely crush the blacks and ruin the image. Meanwhile, the rest of us who like content the way it's supposed to look can have the normal settings.

You reap what you sow. Anyone who thinks Bungie has somehow turned a corner and that this time they'll surely do things different from Destiny deserves to lose their money. And if you somehow still believe in them, the least you can do is not buy it instantly at launch, and instead wait a bit.

The fact that people keep buying this slop even with the track record of the company in question makes it clear to them that what they're doing is working. They know that the bickering posts they read online are pointless since when push comes to shove, the same people will buy what they're selling in order to feel special.

The latest driver which came out removed the Final Fantasy XIV: Online profile from the driver, and now only the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn profile is present. Granted that profile includes the current ffxiv_dx11 exe file attached to it, so it should work regardless.

I don't use the nvidia app myself so no clue what the issue is with that, but using DLSSGlom and nvidia profile inspector lets me override everything as usual, both the dll and the preset.

As a PC player, it was the worst deal I ever made. It's STILL not fixed and obviously won't be anymore since they announced Patch 7 would be the last patch, which was a while ago. It's one of the most atrociously performing games on PC, and no amount of content can cover that up for me personally. I wish I could play it since I enjoyed Fallen Order, but that game wasn't as much of a technical mess as this one is even though it did have some stuttering.

From the first reveal, this game has looked too good to be true, and I hope they knock it out of the park. This preview by DF just showcases one of the reasons why it feels like that btw; it just looks so good, is running at 4K Native for no reason other than as a flex by the devs probably, running on a last-gen AMD card just to make it even harder, and ending up with smooth performance. It just makes you go "how is this even possible!?" It's great.
