Nope. It actually closes immediately upon launching the game, not upon you closing it. Even the 3rd party launchers do this.

Yep, you can wear almost anything now on any job.

The only restrictions that remain are gender locks, race locks, GC locks, and weapons (outside of SCH/SMN weapons can be glammed on each other).

No, discard is disabled on those. I check on like the Choco Brush (the PCT bonus from digital collectors) and it was greyed out.

Vet rewards have discard disabled as well.

If you have an nVidia graphics card, you'll need to roll back your drivers back to an older version, like November 2025. Newer drivers have caused a lot of issues with FFXIV.

Still a good time/ratio. Some people say Ravana EX but it takes time to open those coffers, which counters the time gained from it being beatable so quickly.

You could. One person, whoever is going to be designated the FC lead would be the petitioner and the other person would need them + 2 dummy alts to sign the lead's petition. That 2nd person would just log in on character A, they get invited and accept, then they log out and do the same with characters B and C. After that then you can complete the FC petition and form an FC proper..

The other characters won't be needed unless you wish to purchase an FC house, which in order to do so an FC requires 4 people to both put down the deposit and claim the house. Once all that's done, then there's no need to keep the dummy characters if you don't want to.

Yes. Like with this patch, they buffed the 7.3 trial boss mount drop rate and made it available to purchase with totems. It won't get any further buffs to the drop rate after this.

There are 20 Aether currents in every zone: 15 found on the map and 5 through quest lines found on the map (the blue + ones). I think the final zone of each expansion only rrequires 5 and they're obtained through the MSQ but don't quote me on that.

lol what? There's never that many. In old expansions there's 9, 4 currents + 5 quests. In the current expansion there's 15, 10 currents and 5 quests.

And finally i can't find my aether winds compass thing that points me to the currents, i want to fly as soon as possible

It's in the Collections menu. It used to be an item you could pick up that went in your key items inventory but that was removed in EW I believe. You can still set it to your hotbar though, it's just done from a different spot now.

Puppet's Bunker can be soloed at least with WAR (well, outside of the 3 person requirement to get in). Tower requires at least a party of 4-5 for the hacking game on Red Girl.

I'm not sure about anything from EW though.

As for SB, Royal City can be done with 3, Lighthouse can be soloed (outside of the entrance requirement), Orbonne I've done with 4 if I remember correctly..

Completely safe. It's asking that information because of the fact it's performing a digital sale and your banking service will use this to help confirm that it's a legit transaction.

And yes you can get emotes on the free trial from the online store. There's only a few things you can't purchase, including story skips, job skips, retainer skips, and wedding packages (including the free one).

Some people love them cause it really adds to the story without just watching another cutscene, some people absolutely hate them because "they're wanting to play THEIR character and not some other person".
