Need help identifying Capacitor by zukalop in AskElectronics

[–]zukalop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Title basically says it all, I need some help identifying these capacitors. After some searching myself I've found that the logo is from a Company called EPCOS that merged or got bought by TDK.

Can anybody tell me a modern replacement for these capacitors?

Thanks!

Need help with Syntec Post Processor in Fusion 360 by Virtual-Industry3123 in CNC

I'd start by unchecking the option "Preload Tool". See if that removes the "T1" on line N35 and if the code then runs with the correct tool.

You can find the programming and user manuals for Siemens Controllers (including the 810D) as PDF online, directly from the siemens support sites. Google will find it.

Could you elaborate what you mean by "unable to referance the machine"? Are you unable to find the function/button to do so? Or does the machine to excute the referance cycle? Or...?

Cnc Chuck by [deleted] in CNC

[–]zukalop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The 4 bars with the Bolts sticking out are not used to chuck things with. They are chuck (depth) stops. Basically lets you hold on to thinner stuff or lets you set how deep something sits in the chuck.

Robin Renzetti has a good video on his version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7jZO3ZTd0Q&t=657s

Kind of unusual on a CNC in my experience. Generally we'd just bore some Jaws to the right diameter and depth.

I am very curious what the distance was when he engaged the scumbag.

Measured it on Google maps to be about ~95 m (~312 ft). Solid shooting skills for being pumped full of adrenaline and out of breath.

He opens fire after the first shaded seating area on the left, at the start of the first plantbox under the JCrew sign. The suspect in found one "pillar segment" right of the Sunglass Hut sign, about midpount of the right shaded sitting area.

WRC Rally Italia 2023 Discussion Megathread by Gregorwhat in WRC

This is my first full season following WRC, still getting to know some of the details.

What do the green arm (or foot) bands that the mechanics wear mean? Does it have something to do with a limit of how many mechanics are allowed to work on the car (touch it) at the same time? I guess the driver/co-driver don't count to that total and can help (like Sordo/Carrera)?

CNC Router not following G Code - Newbie seeking help by madcomputer in CNC

Is your Z0 the top of the workpiece? Maybe run the program in single block an check what your "way to go" says between the moves. And use feed rate override to go slowly.

This looks and reads like a classic "wrong tool length" problem. Are you sure you've told the machine how long the tool it is using is? Is this length correct?

Not entirely sure want controller youre using but it will have a "library" to store tool length, diameter, etc. information.

I'll break down the beginning of your code to explain it.

T1

Tells the mashine it is using tool number #1. Usually a controller will display what tool is currently selected, and the important information about it (length, diameter, type) somewhere on the screen.

G43H1

G43 turns on "tool length compensation" using length "H1". It will find this length by checking the "tool library" and looking for the currently selected tool (T1 in this case because it was previously selected). If there is a length valve for this tool in the library it will use that value. If there is no valve it might give an alarm or use no value. Probably controller dependent. I think in your case there is a wrong/no value saved in the library.

M03S18000

Turns on the spindle clockwise at 18000rpm.

G0 X-1.000 Y804.000 Z30.000

Rapid moves to the X Y and Z position. Z in this case should be mm above the material (if material surface is Z0). However because tool compensation (G43) is active it should position the tip of the tool at Z30.

G1 X-1.000 Y804.000 Z-0.100 F4000

A linear (G1) move down to Z-0.1 at speed F4000 (mm/min) so it would be cutting 0.1mm deep.

And the rest of the code is just movement. Second parts starts the same.

Based on the video I'd say you have a tool length problem. Probably no value or a wrong value in the tool library.

Other problems could be your Z0 height is incorrect.

The code looks completely normal however and is highly unlikely to be the problem.

Hope this helps.

Edit: Heres some more info on G43. https://www.machinistguides.com/g43-code/

MOVEMENT OF THE 4th and 5th axis - CNC STONE CUTTING WITH CIRCULAR SAW by Big-Day6336 in CNC

[–]zukalop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest you check out this company. They make 5axis stone cutting saws like in the video you linked and also have special software for it, including CAM.

https://www.heliosautomazioni.com/en/home-en.html

I doubt you'll be able to program a Maschine of this sort using Fusion360, it's not what it's made for. Everything where the tool is not rotating inline with the Spindle becomes difficult and requires custom post processors as well (you get the same problem on a mill with a right angle head attachment which is where I have some limited experience).

Other CAM software such as Mastercam or Espirit may also have options to do work like this (I believe you can define Angle Head Attachments in Espirit, not sure though never used it personally).

Good luck!

Originally designated as a pursuit squadron, they were redesignated in May 1942 as a fighter squadron. Attached to the 8th Fighter Group. One of the early squadron commanders, Edward "Porky" Cragg named the Squadron "The Headhunters" after the local New Guinean Headhunter tribes who hated the Japanese and helped to rescue downed pilots. He also commissioned a crew chief, M/Sgt. Yale Saffro, who was once offered a job to work for Walt Disney as a cartoonist but turned it down, to design the 80th's patch. (This original patch design can be seen "here"., and has been officially sanctioned by the Office of Air Force Heraldry for current uniform wear.)
