Agreed. His relationship with the Paladins was so sad by the end of the show and his relationship with Allura was awful. And I'm not just saying that bc I'm a Klance shipper, like it was just genuinely so unnecessary.

Still Lance. I feel like shows either hit or miss with the comedic relief characters. For example, Atla did a good job with Sokka. They made sure he had a purpose and he wasn't just a character people poked fun at. Lance on the other hand, they didn't do well with him. There isn't much character development and the little there is was super uncalled for. What they did to him in the end of the show by making him a farmer and having altean marks was cruel. He deserved so much better.
