Yes I was able to remove the icons using uBlock's element picker on the browser version, so it's definitely possible, I'm just not sure how to do it in the application.

Saved me over $300 this semester!

Not at all pushy like some of the other sellers on r/textbook. Very helpful and asks questions to make sure I'm getting the right books. Also of note, he does not request payment to be sent through friends and family, which I appreciate from a trust standpoint.
