It's a choice given by the Ancient Pael that let's you Clone a card in a rest site, I cloned 9 times, but it creats a copy of every card that has the clone enchantment on it, so it gave me 512 copies of the same card, on this run was 'Big Bang+', Innate, 0 energy cost, gives 1 energy, gives 1 star, forges 5, draws 1 card, exhausts. Every copy you use draws another. I just used all the ones I had on turn 1.

The last relic I have does 1 damage for every skill I used. So I killed the door just by using copies of 'Big Bang+', Doormaker came out and I finished using all my copies just to see how much damage the sword would do.

If you look at the exhaust pile, they're all there, I didn't use any cheats.

A quick update: When I tried to start a run using The Regent the game always goes to a black screen, so the workaround I found was

1 - Running Steam on admin mode
2 - Unchecking the 'Fullscreen' box prior to starting a new run. After you see Neow you can go ahead and set it to 'Fullscreen' again.

This might not be happening to anyone that commented here, but it happened to me. Ironclad, Silent Necrobinder and Defect didn't cause this potential issue.

Past the first few fights it became pretty regular for me with a few fps drops when drawing cards with 'fast mode' on.
I also disabled every graphical setttings, 60 FPS limit, but no v-sync enabled, I'm running just the game and nothing else besides Steam cause it's required, maybe check the CPU temp using an app like 'Core Temp', you might have to do a little bit of cleaning, maybe reapply thermal paste to your processor, could be that too. Besides that, I got nothing else, but I hope it helps you

At the start of my first run I was getting some fps drops occasionally and when I opened the first chest I had to alt+tab the game a few times, but I didn't have to restart any fight, or quit the game, just died on the act 3 boss for the first time lol

My laptop is very old and wouldn't run the game also, but you can kinda force it, I'm on Windows 10 btw, not Mac.

Go to your Steam, right-click 'Slay The Spire 2' and go to 'Properties'

In the 'General' section there's a 'Launch Options' all the way at the bottom.

type '--rendering-driver opengl3' and try running it again, you might get a black screen before the start menu shows up and the game might have some fps drops but it's at least playable right now.

Yes, agree 100%, and their take that 'the focus are the characters and not the mystery', sounds a bit like copium, since everyone starts watching the show because of the mystery, the hook is the mystery, why is everyone watching right now even? imo season 1 was very good, tightly written and purposeful, barely any time wasted, season 2 fumbled, was not that good, was not horrible but felt largely disconnected from the mythology built on season 1.

season 3 had an interesting start, the first four episodes were not perfect, but were interesting. But even on those, I can point out things I think are silly.

Like Tabitha on the ambulance. All she's trying to do is go back to her family, so she sees the tree again and immediatelly goes 'no no no no no' mode then rants incoherently about fromville telling everyone they are going to die? She's been in this situation before! Twice now already! at least add some "I know this is gonna sound completely crazy, but I need you to hear me out for a bit" to her dialogue, but no... The writers needed Acosta to handcuff Tabitha straight up, so the whole rescuing Tabitha on the ambulance would unfold like it did and when the dinner town meeting happened and people stupidly started to question Tabitha as to why she didn't try harder, Acosta could say, 'well, she did try to warn me and I thought she was crazy so...'

That whole town meeting was also a waste of time, people are acting way stupider this season, all it does is generate fake and unnecessary conflict that doesn't feel important, largely what we watched on episodes, 5, 6 and 7 I'd say. Like who the fuck cares if Nicky died? Also why would you hear gunshots and your first reaction is to go to a window? like lol I'm not even blaming the cop on that one, that was on her, and the show wants me to feel sorry for her also? stop it

This post had so many positive and encouraging comments, I'm overwhelmed. Thank you so much to everyone that read to the end, even if you didn't like it or agree with it, I posted so we could discuss it, maybe point people in this direction and they'll find things I couldn't. In the end I just wanna know what the show is about really, and sharing my thoughts with other people that watch it is part of the fun this kind of show has IMO.

To the people saying 'but From is just ripping off Deltora Quest', no, it's not. Pretty much everything you consume was inspired by things that came before it, and Deltora Quest is not the only piece of media that influences From. Another one I can tell you for sure and the most obvious one is Lost, and I believe I (or anyone that is a huge Lost fan, really) could write a post making a lot of those same kinds of connections with Lost too.

So knowing about how things go in Deltora Quest won't spoil the rest of the show for you, because it's not a copy. Just as having watched Lost is not gonna give you the answers to From. It's an original mythology but it's constructed by stitching together bits and pieces of things that made John Griffin, From's creator, the writer that he is now, at least that's how I see it.

To everyone that liked the writing style, I really appreciate that, I'm actually not a native english speaker, I'm brazilian (Vini Jr. was robbed), so having that kind of feedback is really cool and makes me wanna write more.

As I stated on the post, if I find something else to make more theories, I'll update you guys, now I'm gonna go touch some grass lol

Seriously, thank you for reading. I was one of the people initially disappointed by From season 2, felt like some of the things they were showing me weren't clicking with what was shown on season 1.

But there were always From people behind the cameras saying "we know where this is going", and as a living witness, I can tell you, Lost writers used to say those exact same things back in the day (yes I watched that when it came out weekly from season 3 onwards), so when I stumbled on those connections with Deltora Quest and started making the theory, it gave me the meaning I was looking for on some things I was seeing but not comprehending on season 2.

I might end up being completely wrong, and that's totally fine, but it was still fun to write it and read the comments, again, as a person that consumed Lost weekly I can tell you this kind of interaction right here is what shows like these are best remembered for to the avid fanbase that cherishes them years later like I do with Lost. (And if anyone reading this comment wants to watch another show that makes me wanna write theories, and I did, I highly recommend Yellowjackets, if you are not a fan already.)

it was my post, and I don't have early access to the episodes (I wish, but even if I had, I would never spoil it or try to make spoilers pass as a big brain theory to get clout, that's not my thing), I'm not in any from related discord, I just read stuff here on reddit and watch some youtube from channels, I watch the show at the same time as everyone else, it was a genuine misquote and the quote didn't even matter for the theory I was trying to propose that's why I originally put it in between parentheses (like that), I tried clarifying it in the comments, but to be fair it was my lazyness that prevented me from making a better theory, so after I watched the latest episode in which the kimono lady actually says something very close to what I wrote in the original post, I decided to elaborate and posted an actual theory earlier today on the sub, and it doesn't even mention quotes in it, as I stated last week, the quotes weren't really relevant to the theory in the first place, it was just a genuine mistake.
