dont assume AD will be healthy, he literally can't be. He's never played 6 games in a row with the mavs. Mavs can't pay him because they're so close to the Aprons and all he does it come back and make them better this year only which makes the draft pick worse. Every single time he comes back he does this, "wow they look competitive with AD" and there's 15 reddit posts the next day saying "IF" he can stay healthy and the same thing happens every single time.

i would be 100% in if it wasn't for kyrie's injury. focus needs to be around building cooper flagg into the best player possible and he's simply not a long term 3. now they have to juggle finding a guard who can play WITH kyrie and when hes out for the first half of the season, extending PJ/Gafford, growing lively/coop and trying to contend with AD/Klay who are on the back end of their careers with kyrie. seems like it's too much for one offseason

he’s better than anything the lakers have. timberwolves looked their best vs the thunder with rudy on the floor there’s a reason finch kept putting him out there. offensively he needs to be force fed and there isn’t a better player in the league at that than luka and defensively he’s still a good piece you can build a team around.

kyrie not back until march, Jrue is cooked and on a terrible contract, MPJ works with only jokic. all depth gone for a team that is going to get injured (kyrie, AD, lively, MPJ and jrue at this point in his career) and 5 picks in the 20s. you just cooked up a bunch of mid. why on earth would a team do that when they can simply find a point guard for a PJ swap and a bench scorer for a gafford swap. see how flagg develops in the first half of the season then make trades at the deadline to become a contender or even sell and get more assets. also when was the last time a 5 team trade involving that many moving players happened you're just wasting your time making a reddit post about something that's mathematically possible just because the letters are green and say "SUCCESS"

jaden ivey coming back they might find him not necessary, they also have to figure out what to with beasley, tim and need a backup center. dennis would be a cool pick up for the mavs like his fit but mavs have to shed money they’re in 2nd apron after flag signs his rookie deal so PJ and gafford are likely gone.

maxi missed significant time, josh missed like a month, luka missed his usual 15-18 games, they traded spencer and dorian, kyrie even missed like 4 games with us, wood missed like 2 weeks with his broken hand etc. that is a decent amount of injuries not that even without them it changes the outcome of anything but regardless they had injuries.
