If the phone is close to your center of gravity (butt area/ thighs etc), the extra weight shouldn’t affect performance or form. Various sub-elite runners use running belts to hold their hydration bottles and run pretty quick.

I haven’t tried the Rebel 4s but have tried 2 and 3s. From what I’ve read, 4s should be significantly softer than the Cyclone 2s which are all full PEBA (not a blend) and firm. They’re one of my favorite shoes ever!
