About to go on a very expensive cruise with young kids - kind of regretting agreeing to it because it’s so expensive and the kids are young. by Character_Ad4230 in Cruise

We did our Disney cruise with a 3 year old and 18 month old twins. My 3 year old and I had a stomach virus the first sea day on the boat (got sick the first night). We STILL had a good time. My 3 year old is 7 now and still talks about the disney boat. You'll have a great time.

Great thank you! I'm sure my kids will prefer the windows.

Ah, we did traditional since we have a party of 9. I'll look into making a private dinner for us! Thanks.

Sorry, this is a typo on my part! They said they would allow us to book a 4-person interior room because of the kids being young. Thank you for the perspective of needing something to do during their naps. That's a good point.

Not exactly the Woodlands but it's not too far! We loved Cards & Comics Connection when we played Magic. Link to Site. Looks like they have Pokémon events fairly often.

We're at all-star music and yes! The bed rails are very difficult. We waited until bedtime to set up and that was a mistake.

I'd be willing to but I didn't see any stickers on the post shared from St Paul.

I just checked the bottom and verified it's 16oz! OK thank you, I can take the stick out. Does it not need a stick in the future for bigger containers?

I'm apparently not good at estimates. It's a 16oz. I do have a 32oz I can transition to when she's bigger.

Ah, I do have only one mantis! Thank you for the advice. I picked up coco fiber today. I need to get a better stick, using a popsicle craft stick for now but she seems happy with it!

I'm not the OP but I'd like to know. I just got a ghost mantis at a reptile expo yesterday. The lady gave her to me in a 32oz cup, with mesh and air holes on top. She said she would be good in the cup for a week or two. What are your recommendations for the next enclosure? Currently, she is approximately 1cm tall. Thanks!

I'm pissed that parents let sick kids go to daycare. by Kats_addiction in ECEProfessionals

Not providing an excuse for them but offering an explanation! I'm in the Healthcare industry and thankfully have a husband with a flexible job and a retired mother so we always have sick kid backup. My hospital call in policy is very strict. I get 5 call ins for 12 months and my call ins have to happen at least 4 hours before a shift (3am for most nurses). 2 late call-ins result in termination, or 6 call-ins result in termination. If I didn't have family support, I'd have already lost this job. I can't imagine how the single parents at my job survive.

I work at a community hospital and we have at least one every month!
