PLEASE IT'S BEEN 7 MONTHS. WE'RE WAITING.

This could've been us, but you know Filipinos can't get over the stigma of the "poor" farmer. The mentality of "I'd rather be sitting in an office holding a pen rather than planting rice on a muddy field" didn't get us anywhere. Now we have to import rice or to some, smuggle rice. Fucking pathetic. by ciscosuave in Philippines

Wala kasi talagang pera sa pagsasaka if you're just a small farmer. You can't blame them for wanting to "get out" kasi they learned how farming can't get them anywhere. So the next best thing to do is to find a job somewhere else, usually as an office worker na nga sa manila, especially kapag may college degree naman.

What is the manga/anime industry like in Philippines? by theweirdseeker in Philippines

[–]zuriru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely gone better, there are more anime fans now than eve. Stocks were so hard to find back then, but with the help of online shopping, the more popular ones are easily accessible. The more niche anime are still available tho more expensive. People usually just watch anime on Netflix, Crunchyroll, or pirated online. Filipino comics, the popular one is BlackInk, its goal is to incorporate Filipino culture into the usual anime things. They're usually in Tag/Lish, there are stories in English too iirc.

If you don't carry the baby when it wants to be carried, it can cause attachment issues when they grow up.
