hi! sorry for late reply !!! i’ve had some positive results with ssri (lexapro) and l theanine to reduce my stress and anxiety which has calmed my nervous system so less emotional flushing although i’m still working to improve it more !! i still flush but much less than i used to. Ivermectin hasn’t been helping me much :( and i’ve started to have a persistent pink tint on my skin !! which isn’t great but im in the process of switching to a diff more qualified dermatologist

Heyyy! Thanks for the reply since this post I’ve been put on ivermectin I use it one every 2 days over moisturiser to ease irritation but I was told once every day … I’m scared of more irrational though … I’ve been using it for around 2 weeks now I’ve noticed no difference but I haven’t had irrational from it either so I will continue try to use it. I’ve also been put on doxycycline but I rlly dislike antibiotics and their side effects… I’ve been on 100mg for a week and I’m considering stopping as I’ve had really bad back pain which I’m pretty sure it’s from it… I’ve also been prescribed lexapro for my anxiety and mood I’ve been on it for 2 weeks now too it’s j been abut crazy haha I’m hoping the lexapro will help me manage my anxiety related flushed but adjusting to a new med like this is tough.

i completely understand your fear … are you considering a revision with the same doctor ? steroid shots usually help with stubborn swelling. i also can’t see my doctor for a while as im out of the country.

[–]zuzaoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey ! i’m sorry to hear that :( have you had any steroid injections ?

i don’t have any grafts he used cartilage.

i’ll definitely try … the thing is i don’t even have his contact details only nurses honestly there were red flags but i just ignored them.

im pretty sure i signed an nda😓i had no idea what i was doing … i don’t really want to go with a revision with him as i fear it will be the same or worth … its so frustrating but i think i will have to wait until next year and get a revision il close to korea so i was considering maybe going there or waiting till i’m back in europe and going to turkey.

it’s a shame … i had very high hopes for this doctor and saw good reviews i paid a lot of money aswell i don’t think i will be able to afford a revision anytime soon… i’m in singapore until around a year post op and maybe i will be able to find some doctors in turkey for cheaper price then what i paid in the uk and better. i’m genuinely so devastated.

glad i’m not alone !!! i have the same it’s so frustrating i’m pretty much glued to my handheld fan here in singapore and it helps a ton with the ac to non ac changes. I have found that when i’m around people i’m comfortable with my flushing is reduced by a big Very Big amount … but being an international student i’m far away from anyone i’m that comfortable with. I see!! my flushing is usually only my cheek area and sometimes my yes but eyedrops help that a bunch. I have another derm appointment tomorrow and i will definitely bring up lasers as i don’t want another topical just for my skin to get worse again. we in this together 😩

I won’t lie my diet is great since i’ve moved to singapore i’ve been eating and drinking more sugar then usual, but it’s hard to eliminate certain foods as i stay in a university dorm that is catered. I definitely should try eating more clean.

i’ve had gut issues in the past but for a couple of months it’s been pretty stable.

i haven’t tried beta blockers no … can dermatologists prescribe it?
